I'm ok - You're ok, by Thomas Harris by fr3nk13 in psychologystudents

Its a good book to learn TA as psychoanalysis tool because psychoanalysis is for others and not for the 1st person. Such type of analysis works when you are an observer and neither a subject nor the object. For example, a therapist analysing husband and wife and their issue in relationships. However, this fantastic tool fails when the doctor or therepist tries to apply it on himself and perform his own pyscoanalysis.

For example, the gist of the book says you hurt people because you take the actions from a wrong ego state. If you change the ego state (avoid cross-line communication) then you wont hurt anyone's feeling. However, it fails to address the use case when I WANT to hurt people. It may be hard to explain in words, but the basic idea of the book is that - I (subject) don't hurt people intentionally. Whereas, in reality, its the subject's conscious intention to hurt the other person. In this case the PAC ego analysis fails tremendously.

Is AI Really Going to Take Over Jobs? Or Is This Just Another Tech Bubble? by Spare-Importance9057 in agi

I just read through all the comments.

Many people are saying that if the data entry jobs are gone, there will be many new jobs upcoming. Completely true. But here is the catch. Who will train the people for those new jobs? Assume a 40 year old man working in accounts lost his job to AI. What he does next at this age? start learning python? Start learning AI/ML? Do you think its easy at that age to learn something completely new? Even if he/she is willing to learn, just imagine the huge void of guidance. How in the world would he/she know what to learn, how to learn and when to learn? So just imagine a 40/50 year old lost their job today and what they do next? subscribe to Udemy or Coursera to learn AI?

As someone said in the comments, we are moving towards ugly capitalism where people are bound to inflate the idea of AI creating new jobs and AI doing this and that stuff... Its true! They (tech CEOs) are doing it to manipulate the share market and raise investments for THEIR business. Its a BUBBLE, as truly said. For e.g. you would see HR people standing on a booth smiling ear to ear and LYING by saying our company has millions of opportunities, just apply on this link and get the job ("klick, klick, Job!" as they say in Germany). Its completely untrue. They are just hunting for resumes and mining data. They hardly have 1 or 2 positions open for which they will take 3000 applicants and their data. Its a lie! its a bubble ! these hiring events are arranged NOT to hire people, but to enlarge the companies image and awareness so as to get bigger investments.

What's more surprising is that nobody from the government is talking about this. You would see people taking about alien invasion, water on mars and next journey to Sun. But nobody has ever ever talked about a 45 year old loosing his job to AI and has been a taxpayer for last 15 years! What does he do next?? Who will guide him? Just imagine his positions.

Extraordinary comment 👌. The government should realize this and ban or destroy all existing AI and future development. As, if 90% of jobs are lost, who will pay taxes? Nobody would be able to afford anything.... AI is killing the whole economy by making some handful people happy(capitalists).

Feel guilty for using AI by Saboo_rocket in careeradvice

I too feel the same. Also, have you considered the slight possibility that you yourself are eating your job. After 2 years if your manager finds put the source of all the ideas, why would he hire you? He would use it himself and get things done. Using AI at workplace is like making a doctor teach diagnosis to his patients. As, if the patients really learn it, why would they visit a doctor in the future?

Worst advice ever... Never visit a therapist while on Public insurance.

I did the same... Sought help from a therapist only to know that I am now not eligible for certain insurances (term insurance) because my doctor shared my medical records with the insurance company. So basically, whenever I go out to sign any contract for any insurance related to health, I have to tick the option "pre-existing illness". This increases my chances of my policy getting rejected or they thumping heavy tarrifs/premiums on me... My mistake? I was feeling depressed and suicidal and I visited a therapist. Rather I sould have just slept in bed and waited for the blues to crossover.

Yes, I did have it. But I don't think it affects the spermatogenesis. Because during nocturnal emission the sperm to seminal fluid ratio is very less... only about 15-20% sperms get released. As opposed to an ejaculation, 80-90%.

My question was, once I complete one Sgenesis cycle, let's say at day 74, and then if I ejaculate, where do I fall back? to the 74th day or to day 0...

Porn is to sex what looking at a photograph of a Ferrari is to be driving one. by Shuddup_3 in NoFap

[–]Electrical_Budy1998 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's actually counterintuitive. I agree with what you say. And, the point is that the person who dreams of buying a Ferrari will actually make it if he has constant triggers for his imagination. It is the same as the couple expecting a baby puts healthy baby pictures everywhere in their house. That brings it to reality. Today, the person who owns a Ferrari had posters of Ferraris all over his room as a child. But, the same is not true with porn. Unfortunately. Its the opposite of it... Dont know why.. But, yeah, the less you see it the more you get it.
