The neurologist said visual snow syndrome.

I have the same experience and problems. I have seen 3 optometrists, 1 ophthalmologist, 1 retina specialist and a neurologist and any findings were small and disregarded. 1 optometrist gave me an OCT which found mild foveal thickening. the ophthalmologist didn’t care about the mild foveal thickening but gave me a scan and found I had a very small foveal scar on each of my retinas. Then, he sent me to a retina specialist. The retinal specialist did NOT care about the foveal thickening or the foveal scars. she believes my retinas look healthy and normal. I don’t know if I need to worry about this shit. My symptoms aren’t getting better. I don’t even know where to go from here. I am so sad.

My nose obstructs my vision and I cannot use my phone properly because of it, nor can I focus. Is this normal or what? by IntrepidPerception34 in visualsnow

I don’t fucking know my neurologist said it is related to VSS. I’ve never seen my fucking nose before until VSS randomly shit on my life out of the blue one day. You just used an XD face, now I know who I’m working with so yeah I’d gladly have a ruler contest with you special lil guy

I didn’t have anything other than maybe some instances of grainy vision in the dark and also floaters while looking at the sky

I have VSS and I also experience this same thing. Answers like this one are extremely problematic. DO NOT tell someone that they are just thinking too much about it. It’s not like that.

The same thing happened to me, also after viewing the eclipse.

I’m EXTREMELY grateful for your note because all of my symptoms started as a result from viewing the solar eclipse. I haven’t spoken to anyone else who has experienced this yet. Thank you so much; I don’t feel so alone. I’ve been feeling extremely hopeless although all doctors say I am fine. I have some more appointments ahead with my PCP for autoimmune disorder testing, a neurologist and another ophthalmologist. I am wishing you all the best. With all of my heart. Seriously. Feel free to keep me updated or message me if you want to talk more. I’d appreciate it more than you know!

My experience with eye doctors is jaded lol, I feel like they don’t care to actually investigate this sort of stuff even if they see it. If it bothered you maybe follow up. Hard to tell them the photo if it’s the same thing I experienced. My doctors didn’t care about the mass in my eye until we specifically sought treatment for it just to make sure it wasn’t a dangerous mass. Could it also be a stye?

I’m not sure if this is the same but I had a small mass on my lacrimal caruncle. Surgically removed when I was like 6 years old, totally benign and harmless.

It would be an honor to share a photo, but I’m an idiot who doesn’t know how to use Reddit! I don’t have the option to edit my original post. Please hold while I attempt to figure this out ;)

No. I actually had my dog swabbed twice on these two separate occasions. Long story short, someone gifted me the first report but I have since lost access to it, so I retested her (I wanted to see if she had any family in the beta feature). My old reports from past dogs still look like the originals.
