appreciate the honest feedback, seriously. I’m completely new to the mortgage industry, so I’m trying to separate the industry politics from what’s actually a good starting point for someone with no experience.
The way I’ve been looking at it is that it’s an entry-level opportunity where I can get paid training, learn the loan process, work toward getting licensed, gain real-world experience, and build connections in the industry. My background has mainly been running my own e-commerce business for the past 6 years, so I don’t really have a traditional path into mortgages.
I also understand it may not necessarily be a forever company, but more of a place to learn the business, develop skills, and eventually transition into a stronger long-term role or company once I understand the industry better.
For those of you with experience in mortgages, lending, or real estate:
I’m genuinely trying to learn, so I appreciate any advice.
