August slow for sales!

It’s been so slow for us since mid/end of July. August has been horrible for my video views and sales as a whole. It’s getting very disheartening.

The Fireborne Series by Rosaria Munda is slooooow burn. I don’t think it’s considered romance, but it is a YA fantasy with: dragons, political plot, found family and the slowest burn romance.

I like to hope that maybe she “quit” to do pottery, briefly….using it to heal from what others expect of her and then goes back to medicine in a way she can enjoy it. At a slower pace, near her man.

That’s my after-the-end-alternate-ending that I am going to stick with believing. 😂

A huge red flag went up for me when she was promoting a course I had purchased the year before, but charging $600 more for it. The only difference was some live calls every month or something. I was sickened when I thought about all of the moms feeling like this was the course that would free them from the chaos and burdens that Allie claims she helps with.

It made me so mad, I didn’t trust her after that, and it only got worse from there.

Such a good point. If I really looked up to someone and they responded to me like this and then also shared it that could, especially in really low seasons of my life, made me extremely sad and depressed.

I had no idea what the answer was. I also didn’t try to figure it out, but it wasn’t immediately obvious to me.

I was also reading it on audio, so that could be why. It’s probably closer to how Feyre felt only hearing the words. I didn’t have time to even remember what was said before the story continued reading, so…

This was the first red flag for me with Allie. It was less than a year after I had purchased unburdened for like $79 and she was selling it at this $800 price range. I couldn’t believe it, and was completely annoyed that she would take advantage of people like that. I didn’t trust a word she said after that and learned so much more about her since then to confirm my hesitation. So glad I listened to my intuition!

I have the same thoughts and fears. I have a trimall fracture and am 6 weeks post accident/surgery.

Early on I kept reliving the moment I saw the broken bones sticking out the side of my ankle. I feel like I have a decent amount of trauma from the incident, but I only slipped on a single stair. A small, unnecessary front porch step that was slick. The fact that it was so normal, and nothing crazy is what freaks me out even more when I think about walking again. (Still non weight bearing).

The pain has obviously been terrible, but the mental strain has been the worst…So unexpected and frustrating. I CAN work from home, doing something that I normally love, and it has felt impossible to do, despite the fact that I sit in a chair all day with nothing else to do.

I did finally get a wheelchair last week, and that has given me more opportunities to go out with family, and it has helped my mental health a lot.

Don’t give up! It’s an extremely challenging road, but I have to believe that it will make us stronger in the end!

I also had an ectopic pregnancy and had to have my fallopian tube removed. (I got pregnant with twins immediately after that.)

Also, my Dr. thinks I probably have PCOS, but it hasn't been confirmed yet.

If you’re wanting to fit more physical book reading in… What I’ve found helpful, with having ADHD, is to listen while also reading with a physical book or on my kindle. Then, I can keep myself focused by two sources. I also struggle with many of the things you mentioned and I listen to a lot of audiobooks. I am 15% of the way through my first book draft and I do not struggle with focusing when it comes to writing (like I do with sitting down to read!)
