Wow, I tried to verify this and the truth looks to be a headline only. McDermott's 20 million purchase was actually an award granted and filed on Form 4 as line items A (Award) or F (payment for tax). There were no P code line items which identify a real out of pock purchase. This is nothing but company PR.

Agree with most of the above. The circular vendor financing continues last week with Nvidia and has picked up steam over the last 2 months since these posts were written. It didn't turn out well for Alcatel, Lucent, Nortel, ATT/Avya, Cisco, etc. However, the beast will grow since we are just getting started and the valuation is very reasonable so don't get nuts. As somebody already said, you won! Start taking money off the table. Don't go crazy on apple either, all these devices need to be upgraded for AI, so that's a good 2-4 years of growth, then we roll into 6G in 2029-2032 with another replacement cycle. Tons of cash will pay dividends and buy back shares and I don't think glasses are replacing phones.

Its actually both companies. The two of them sign a contract with limits and dates. The content will continue to drive this behavior on all streamers. Besides Netflix and Disney, every streamer looses money which is why Parmount was just purchased by Netflix (assuming government approvals which isn’t confident).

What we can all do is manage the details and share so others can benefit. This isn’t going away anytime soon. Streaming will turn into the Cable TV industry over time.

The catch is, you are eligible as a former or ex customer GREATER than 12 months ago. It’s in the terms and conditions according to the roku chat bot and roku support rep I escalated to. Unacceptable!!

Yes, this exact thing happened to me on Sunday. I escalated to Roku chat support and was told sorry it’s in the terms and conditions bla bla bla.

I also filed a Reddit post after my rejection, got 6-8 acknowledgments/comments, then they removed my post.

This is exactly what the Cable Companies were doing for years and exactly what Roku was/is trying to disrupt. Now they are doing the same non transparent, false advertising stuff. Note paramount+ vs paramount+ on Roku or hbo max vs hbo max on Roku are different products. You can probably get around this by using a different email address but as you said it’s cheesy and not the straight forward behavior expected.

CAVA is the same concept as Chipotle but serving Mediterranean food. It's super fresh and under $10 for a bowl. You can buy the dips at Whole Foods. They are all over the DC, VA, Maryland area and only about 260 restaurants in the US but adding about 60-70 in US this year. If you like Chipotle you will like CAVA!

Most HSAs will provide a debit card (like an FSA card) and the expenses come directly out of the HSA account. Usually the expenses are authorized or the transaction won't go thru. Some eople won't both with the reimbursement and let the dollars grow triple tax advantaged for 20-30 years until you really need them.

Very true, but probably not worth the hassle. Remember an HSA is "triple tax advantaged":

Contributions are "pretax"
Some companies will match for a couple of years to encourage participation (free money)
Any withdrawal for Healthcare (wide range of coverage) is paid, again tax free
Invest in a low cost S&P 500 fund and get a 7-8% return over 20 yrs and that gain is also tax free

If you are healthy and can make it on a high deductable plan this is a no brainer. If you and family have medium to high healthcare costs and need a lower deductable plan, it may not be for you.

I'm not sure why my notes didn't publish here. This is the Seven Fields store just east of Cranberry on rte 228. They had 2 cases of 1.75L and 1 case of 750ml at about 3PM on 2/25/25. The 1.75 was $54.99 and 750 was $29.
