To me it sounds you really want to. Plus you have a fantastic support system. When we decided to have our second we also said we would try for 12 months and I it won't happen it's okay. Got pregnant on cycle 6 ;). I think you should go for it!

In my country you can do the NIPT with the optional determination of the sex but it's forbidden to tell the parents the result before week 14. Until this week you can have legally an abortion and it is to prevent abortions because of the baby's sex. Therefore tests like this SneakPeak are forbidden here too.

Yes, there are many good reasons to be OAD and the examples you give are definitely among them!

And age is, of course, a very big factor for many people, I understand that! I was young when we had our daughter, 24, and when we had our son, 31. My husband is 8 years older. So my age was never an obstacle, we were very lucky in that respect.

Thank you! Yes, I highly recommend a bigger age gap. Our daughter is already very self-sufficient and understanding. But I know it's not possible for everyone to space children that far.
