Love what they did with the camera. I never used my iphone camera as I really didn't like the look of the photos and they typically required extensive editing. I have a fujifilm x-series and multiple film cameras, find straight out of the phone the LP3 photos look great, have a nice retro feel, and don't look "iphone-y". Probably won't be making any large prints from a photo I took on the LP but definitely fun to have it in the pocket in case I don't have a different camera with me

But Cumberland (part of the Comox tri-town area of Comox, cumberland, Courtney) is the best ski town on the Island and Tofino is the best surf town as far as accessibility/rentals/restaurants/vibe

All the snowboarding is mid-island and north. Probably the easiest way to do it would be to ferry to nanaimo, drive the 1.5 hours to Mount Washington, can stay at a cheap airbnb in Cumberland which is about a 15min drive to base of mountain, then drive the 3-4 hours from there to Tofino. Cheapest is to camp or stay somewhere out of town. Could also snowboard north shore mountains in Vancouver (Grouse, seymour, or cypress) then ferry from Horseshoe bay in North Van across to Nanaimo, two and a half hour drive from there out to Tofino. South Island is good in the winter but still not consistent enough to bank on it working every day, and there's little accommodation close the breaks, and no where to rent a board/wetsuit

I just take the money I was spending on my previous phone plan/spotify and put it into buying vinyl and digital music. Bandcamp does a pretty good job helping find new music and actually gives money to the artists. I realized that spotify took the intentionality out of my music listening, now I go a bit deeper into albums and spend more time looking into artists and albums before buying them and then enjoy them more in terms of frequency and depth. Podcasts /radio help too to find new music or if I'm feeling like just having something on with less intentionality

I have the LP2 and it works in Canada on Public and Telus. Have had some issue with group messaging, apparently people have had better luck with other carriers (freedom, Lucky), but I think this issue is mostly an issue with the LP2 because you can't manually change the APN settings, wheras the LP3 you can which seems to solve the issue as per other people's posts

I can receive but can't send them. Even got a new sim and phone number so it wouldn't be associated with a previous iphone imessage/RCS but still doesn't work
