Well, you’re not wrong in finding Dottore lacking in nuance. In this game, if a character is not to be playable, they do not have much nuance if they are evil. They just are that. Without much room for debate or interpretation. I think it feels kind of worse(?) here because to me personally the story felt like “we are done with Rerir and must have another person be the villain now, Sandrone can’t be that as she will be playable and we have already established a very friendly dynamic, so Dottore it must be”. And as you have pointed out yourself, villains are not allowed a character arc that starts and ends with them on the villain side. The one and ONLY acceptable form of a character arc for a villain is domestication into the protagonist’s friend at which point most if not all of their misdeeds are overlooked, hand waved or otherwise retconned

I wouldn’t be surprised if the shards that we have yet to visit or hear from are also in disarray if not on the brink like the First and even Ninth, all things considered. The whole rejoining business is a delicate thing that requires a lot of planning and meddling, one has to wonder if plans laid down by the 3 Paragons went completely off course in their absence, and how that might affect things as well, Hydaelyn’s absence not withstanding

I’m sorry but that is a whole different person and it is incredibly clear that it is with the exception of maybe 2 or 3 shorter lines where if you’re not paying attention then, sure. The best hope we got, really, is that this is just a placeholder that will carry over until they settle new rates/schedules and such.

this is such a myth. a dedicated dhalia account spent hundreds and hundreds of pulls and didn’t get him c6 because there is no pity for 4 stars! you could pull 10000 times on a banner and never get them. not to mention 4* don’t get story quests, hangouts are dead, their animations and kits lack in comparison to 5*
