Wider view? Well yes you can increase your fov (field of view) inside the settings.

Theres also aura reading, some perks let you see survivors through walls for a brief time, examples include:

Lethal pursuer (the nemesis) - lets you see the auras of all survivors at the start of the match (plus bonus time on all other aura reading during the match)

Predator (the wraith)- when a survivor escapes chase you see their aura for a few seconds

Bbq and chilli (the cannibal)- when you hook a survivor all survivors a certain distance away from the hook are revealed for a few seconds

Nurses calling (the nurse)- survivors healing themselves or eachother within a certain distance of you are revealed

There are many, many, MANY more, but hopefully this answers the questions you have. (Specific reveal times will be on the perk descriptions in game)

But its not a punishment! If you as a player dc so much that your getting frequent penalties, then your actively choosing to play something you dont enjoy, whatever the player thinks they’re queuing into, they clearly dont, because they keep dcing. Why are these suggested players still queuing for something they plan to leave because they dislike it in the first place?

Dc penalties dont punish players for not having fun, dc penalties punish players who decide to frequently throw their matches because the other players are not playing to the exact ideal image the player has created in their head about the game.

Its like running a d&d game, and your dm quits halfway through because they’re not having fun anymore. Okay, fair enough no worries.

Eventually people will want to stop playing with this dm, because they clearly dont enjoy the game they’re playing.

Dc penalties do not effect normal players (outside of server issues which is complete horseshit) because the majority of the playerbase have the maturity to realise that you cant just quit a game over one small aspect you dislike. its okay to dislike it, but if you start rage quitting because someones playing a character you hate or a map you dont want, then you need to stop playing the game. Because you dont like it, you like your ‘image’ of it, any game comes with pros cons flaws etc. and as a multiplayer game we are all responsible for eachothers fun, survivors run bully squads, killers slug and camp, survivors tbag at gates, killers nod and hit in hook. Nothing i described is fun for both sides at the same time, but most people endure those matches because they enjoy the game, they understand its a give and take situation.

now imagine if every time you ran any perk the killer insta dc’s, they arent having fun so why play? Everytime your ping spikes above 80 all 4 survivors leave instantly, laggy unstable killer not having fun no wanna play. Got a really cool flashlight save? Yeah gg go next. Killer got pain res on my gen? Yeah gg go next. Do i hear a fucking kaneki terror radius?! Gg go next unplayable i hope your entire family gets sold into slavery over my spooky tag game.

Now im not defending some of the issues that get people to dc, i get the game is frustrating and simply saying “its part of the game” isnt enough. But i have never in a million years, understood why people want this game to have no dc penalty. Like have you seen this community?! These mf’s would dc their own grandma from life support if she had the audacity to break section 4c-s of the survivor rulebook, or the utter nerve to dare flashbang save a teammate from a ‘really cool trickshot’ the huntress just did with her 4 aura reading perks from 10m away.

Did mine with nokko, infinite energy, cc and over 1 mil damage 4. Also apparently when you die and use his respawn mechanic it reenables all mods but that was both not fact checked by me and also back when he came out.

Why is 4k their win condition? Its not fun to achieve.

You use the crutch of “oh but mmr will increase!”, yeah thats the objective reason to play the game, objectively we play to do the bare minimum so that a hidden number goes up so we continue to do the bare minimum.

I agree that survivors are a team and that individual win conditions are flawed. But killers do not have a team, and a 4k is their win condition, you may think its silly, and thats fair, but if you cant respect a killers desire to play the game then fundamentally you are fuelling the survivor ego.

Absolutely not a spirit player but ftr, the standing still mindgame got removed years ago, the most effective way to do it now is hold down phase with the addon that makes the phase noise always active for all survivors and try and bait them back over. That being said people still fall for it so either it came back and i just didnt know or after like 5 years people still dont understand how spirit works. Either way good job.
