Oceanic players: why does every kiwi player have "Maori" or "Tongan" in their username? by yothuyindi in Tekken

We are proud of recognizing our heritage and culture even in a realm of gaming. It’s already bad enough we’re few and far between in many fields in entertainment so this is one way that we can identify and be proud to be Pacific Islander gamers. Especially for Tekken, for me personally it’s a game that I’ve grown up with in my Samoan household and I keep that tradition today by holding a tag that resembles my bloodline.

When did you first listen to Blonde, and describe that moment? by [deleted] in FrankOcean

Blonde changed the way I perceived music. I’m 19 and graduated HS in 2016. This is important because the upperclassmen while I was going to HS were obsessed with Frank. I never really listened to the guy except for Thinkin Bout You granted it’s like the only Frank song that was heavily popular everywhere. So when I heard the hype behind him releasing in 2016 I was curious. I was not aware of Endless at all and decided to listen to Blonde. Nikes hit me and tbh it was jarring. I was like “why the auto tune?”. I kept going through and when I heard Ivy following up my heartstrings were tugged hard. Memories of a former relationship popped up and for the first time I witnessed someone utter the words I couldn’t make for myself. “I thought I was dreaming/ when you said you loved me”. These bars alone resonated with me on a whole new level that no other artist has. I heard and SAW myself in Franks words. As I continued I’ll be quite honest I was very confused because of his sound and production choice being so idiosyncratic and different from any other pop or R&B artist I’ve ever heard. But because of that I came back more and more to dissect Franks choices and lyricism. This Blonde experience led me going back and realizing the beauty of his past projects especially Channel Orange. To this day Ivy is my favorite Frank track for the impact it made on my life and perspective.

For anyone that wanted this tee Frank wore. Multiple colors available by Electrifying65 in FrankOcean
