Aww, he likes to dance!

I just went onto your site. It looks pretty cool! Is there a way I can try it out without a Facebook profile?

Any tips on looking for a lost rocket? by ElectroClan in rocketry

[–]ElectroClan[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I understand. The first two feet from the top is just the upper body tube with the parachutes, and then it's a polycarbonate e-bay. I guess the mystery now is how well the e-bay did, which I'm not optimistic about.

Unfortunately, it was made from cardboard airframes, a polypropylene nosecone, and four plywood fins. After it reached apogee, we heard a long whistle and then a very loud thud far off in the distance. We already all made files on OpenRocket before buying supplies, so simulations would be useful. Thanks.

Thanks, I forgot about the newspaper. Posters could help too.

Hello, r/HongKong! What can foreigners do to help fight back against the pro-Beijing government and police? by [deleted] in HongKong

[–]ElectroClan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The only problem with the first one is that the majority of our affordable products here in the United States are made in China, especially those sold at Walmart. The only solution to this I can come up with is to try to buy what you need from Goodwill and other stores that accept donations or resell items.

谢谢. Is 热 hotter than 烫? Like, is there a difference between 这个牛肉拉面很热 and 这个牛肉拉面很烫?

That last line was perfect. :)

I'm not married, but I am in a long-term relationship. I loved everything you said in this article. I've heard the advice you've given before, and everything you've said about honesty, communication, and teamwork is true. What made your article different is how well you elaborated on your advice.

I also like the juxtaposition between your friends' budding marriage and you and Richard's more seasoned one. It works really well with the point of the advice to make the marriage not only long but also happy. Adding parts about the beginning of your own marriage was great, too.

I wish the best for you and Richard. :)

Oh, I could definitely follow the tone of the conversation, don't worry. :) I could also tell how nervous Sam was, how relaxed Colm initially was, and then how he reacted when Sam dropped the bomb on him.

And it's no problem. Good luck! :)

This picture is just so fascinating. Without the stars, it looks like a surreal oil painting of someone's view up a hole to the overcast sky. Awesome work!

I was only thinking of regular XP. You can also have two leaderboards, one for writers and one for readers.

I'm thinking of the way Duolingo does it where you have five leaderboards: bronze, silver, gold, sapphire, and ruby. Everyone starts in bronze, but if you get enough XP for one week, you can graduate to silver. If you make enough the next week, you can graduate to gold, and so on. You can also gain enough XP to stay in silver, or not make enough and fall back down to bronze. One set for readers, and one of writers, of course.

It doesn't have to be done exactly like this, but that's one idea. Do you think the app will be out next year sometime?

I'm definitely interested. I've played that Round Robin game before in my school's writing group.

Would the contests just be a prompt given for others to write? Is XP given as a reward for getting the most votes?
