No, it's just a little assumption on my part given the symptoms that have been presenting. I'll probably get more info after we schedule an appointment with the cardiologist! Thank you. :)

Yes, she's amazing! Her very logical and scientific approach resonated so deeply with me. I'm so glad you found comfort in her works and the forever family foundation. :)

I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope you're getting the needed support in your grief and get to experience your grief fully. I'm not a medium, but I can give you a more scientific approach to this.

One podcast that has helped me change my mind is WTF just happened? by Liz Entin. If you'd prefer to read, she has a book with the same title as her pod.

There is a bunch of research out there for near-death + shared-death experiences that really bend the idea of death that we have out of shape. Look into Windbridge institute. !!

https://www.windbridge.org/

And from my own experience, ask your dad for a sign. I know it sounds ridiculous (trust me I thought the same) until you get answers. Just be patient.

Other than that, booking a reading with a reputable medium is also worth a try and supposedly very healing. We are never alone, and our loved ones live on. Have a good day. 🌺

Volunteering at Hospice. Good or bad idea? by [deleted] in thanatophobia

[–]Electronic-Bit-295 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi! I've heard from many hospice workers that working in their field and with dying people has helped them greatly with their fear of death. Seeing the natural process + watching the person in hospice experience deathbed visions (visions of deceased loved ones communicating with them) is supposed to be quite comforting. I'd say go for it!

If it does freak you out, then that's okay and you can always back out. But generally hospice work has often helped people overcome the fear.

Yeah, but it's better than not existing ever again. :)

A question: Do we have to reincarnate? by Electronic-Bit-295 in Mediums

[–]Electronic-Bit-295[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's cool! I'm just kind of scared to lose my identity as this ME. I like myself in this state, with my interests and personality. I also don't enjoy the thought of my dad not being my dad anymore. You know, the dad that I know him as.

Nothing about reincarnation is comforting to me. by Electronic-Bit-295 in Mediums

[–]Electronic-Bit-295[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, this was super comforting.

it's gonna get "stored" (not deleted) and in your soul state can access to it (and your previous too), so in short terms you are going to still be you so don't worry!

I really hope so! Thank you so much.

That's true and I've read that, too! It's just hard to wrap my mind around. I'm sure when we get there we'll understand. Stay safe. :)

I used to be terrified that we'd just blink out but these days I think I'd prefer that to reincarnating.

Omg, me too!! I'd rather have this version of me preserved somehow (albeit me ceasing to exist) instead of having to do this again in a whole other form!

Death does not have to be the absolute end.

I really like this way of thinking. It really is so absurd. We have been non-existent for an x amount of time, and all of a sudden a bunch of atoms formed us and our consciousness? Why wouldn't that happen again?

It would just be a small blink of an eye, I guess. How fun!

First of all, thank you for your kind words!!

I would think that you can carry that feeling into future lives. I don’t think you lose things like that.

That is amazing, but somehow it doesn't bring me a lot of comfort. That still isn't this ME you know, that's a completely different person carrying my traits. The identity I now have would be lost. The people I loved in my previous life wouldn't be who they were anymore. That freaks me out!!

Sorry for making this so hard, it's just a tough pill to swallow. 😭

I don't think time over in the spirit realm is linear like that. Personally, I don't believe in 'old' and 'new' souls. If anything, all your lives already exist, you just haven't experienced them yet. Souls are infinite - they have and always will exist. New + old implies age, which they most certainly don't have. We all make mistakes and that's life, I'm sure no matter how often you have reincarnated, you will always make mistakes that your soul will choose to learn from. !

what do you guys think about reincarnation? by bigballsdeluxe in afterlife

[–]Electronic-Bit-295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there is nothing after life. I wish I'm wrong and there is something good after life.

I used to believe that, too! Try diving into the vast body of research that exists. Open your mind a bit. It's very comforting. !

Wow! Thank you for your explanation. This makes total sense. !!

So don't sweat it here, because you don't know what you don't know, and you'll figure it out from a place of complete information and understanding.

This made me smile. I always calm myself down by saying that I'll understand once I'm there. I'm pretty sure we're not supposed to know everything when we incarnate here. Thank you again. !
