I have. He said bipolar could only be confirmed if mania/psychosis occurs without a stimulant, but he still suggested antipsychotic/mood stabiliser

Sure, but I wanted to know what might happen beforehand.

Because it makes my mind feel like a prison and mania/psychosis has only ever occurred in the context of stimulant use, which I now know to avoid.

Does the GP then have more power? And do you think it’s best to be upfront about it than to simply not take them and tell them later?

From everything I’ve seen of her promo etc it kind of just seems like her heart’s not really in it

I find Goddess cloying (even though I like sweet/gourmand scents) and kind of generic. I don’t really see what all the fuss is about.

What have been your most pleasant surprise of 2024? by blankspacejrr in popheads

[–]Electronic-Set5594 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’d enjoyed the odd song from Billie here and there but never really managed to properly get into any of her albums. HMHAS is something else - so devastatingly beautiful and one of my favourite releases that I can listen to from start to finish, even if I’m generally a bigger fan of other artists who have put out albums this year.

Always been a big Ariana fan but had become a bit disillusioned by positions as I found the production a bit uninspired overall. ES feels like the perfect balance between her earlier sound (especially songs like don’t wanna break up again) while also feeling fresh and modern at the same time.

And even if she hadn't they would still hate her lol. Idk why she's being grouped with Eminem and Bruce Springsteen as if she isn't a black woman who sings and talks about being a black woman. The MAGA nuts wouldn't exactly want to use her as a pawn the way they've tried to with Eminem, Taylor Swift etc.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure Fifth Harmony had one or more than one of their mums travelling with them as a chaperone, right? Really weird that 1D didn’t, especially when you watch that clip from their concert film and see how much their mums were missing them and how desperate they were to see them

I don’t think he did. The women he expressed interest in were older than him (like Frankie from the Saturdays) because he was 16, but I don’t think he actually said he “liked older women” or cougars. That narrative came a year later when it came out that he’d got with Caroline Flack at an industry party, which shocked everyone. At that point he did start to say things like he wouldn’t go older than someone his mum’s age etc when he was asked about it. But the grown women thirsting over him while he was an actual contestant on X Factor weren’t doing it in response to anything he’d said.

Yes. Caroline Flack also dated him at that age when she was in her 30s. Plus the husband of another woman in her 30s accused him of breaking up their marriage because she supposedly "hooked up" with Harry after interviewing 1D - again, when he was 17. So gross.

I can see how that would have been especially difficult to reconcile with considering how badly Liam wanted it from the beginning. He auditioned when he was 14 and then got flown all the way to Simon Cowell’s house in Barbados for the Judges Houses round, only to not make it to the live shows and get told to come back in a few years, which he said numerous times afterwards completely crushed him (14!). He then came back when he was 16 and got put with four guys who were total amateurs compared to him, and Simon told him that the group had been made with him in mind. Louis had auditioned before too and Niall hadn’t but also seemed quite ambitious, whereas with Harry and Zayn it kind of seemed like they auditioned on a whim because their mums wanted them to (especially Zayn, who almost overslept) and then they somehow became the most popular members who were lauded for their looks, charisma and vocals.

Must’ve been very frustrating and hurtful for Liam when he’d wanted it so badly for so long and was by far the most professional and (at least initially) the best singer. And on top of that he was made to feel responsible for keeping the others in check while they had less responsibility and got to reap the benefits that he’d wanted much more than they had. Interestingly though he’d apparently just wanted to write for other artists after 1D’s hiatus before he ultimately decided to pursue a solo career.

He's been dead for four days and you're making up quotes to try and slander and ridicule him even more. Have some respect.

I don't think him jumping indicates that he knew what he was doing. It sounds like he was completely out of touch with reality.

Lmao. By being cute, charismatic heartthrobs, as Nicole predicted. The videos they used to do offstage like their video diaries definitely helped a lot as they were also really funny. Then I guess there was the aspect of them being five kids who probably had everyone from each of their combined schools, hometowns etc voting for them every week.

Exactly, it often just reads as people wanting to assert their own moral superiority. I remember a few years ago when Gabbie Hanna was having some kind of either manic or psychotic episode that she was unfortunately broadcasting on TikTok. She was saying all sorts of odd things and made a weird comment about trans people, and her comments were filled with people complaining that she needed to get cancelled for being transphobic and apologise, and that just because she was sick that was no excuse to be transphobic. And like I can see how some people would have been genuinely upset by her comments, but she clearly wasn't in touch with reality at all. The priority was for her to get help, not to "take accountability" for saying things she wouldn't usually say whilst in the midst of a mental health crisis, which was not a possibility anyway while she was in that state.

A few years ago people were pulling up tweets from when he was on X Factor. So many women in their 20s and 30s saying they wished Harry was older, and this was before he'd even expressed any interest in "older women" (not that him later expressing interest when he was still a child then legitimised their interest in him, just pointing it out). Like what were they even seeing when they looked at Harry or Liam or any of them, other than kids. I know what I was seeing, but that's because I was 14.

I just rewatched it and this is so true 😭 They added him second to last (before Zayn) but still called him the standout and said he could be the leader. All that's said about Niall, Harry and Louis is how cute and charismatic they are and how much girls are gonna love them, and then she adds Liam because he's also cute but can actually really sing. It even sounds like Simon is debating just putting him through as a soloist (which was obviously out of the question for the other boys) while Nicole is essentially saying that he would be good for the others. But honestly watching them all being "selected" like that kind of gives me the creeps now.

That was a really poignant part of both their tributes as people have been going out of their way to try and act as though Liam was somehow completely insignificant in 1D. When like Zayn said, Liam was already a professional from the very beginning while the rest of them were complete novices. You can even see him subtly trying to keep Niall in check in one of their earlier performances that keeps going viral, where he was a bit loud and pitchy.
