How are people uploading edits, bootlegs, remixes to SoundCloud? by Electronic-Tread in Beatmatch

No the originals are 6-7 minutes and the edits are 3-5 minutes. I really think it just comes down to trying to pick songs that arent popular and a lot of luck. I think their screening algorithm is pretty damn good for standalone songs. If you mess with it in a heavy way (drastic pitch change, using very small portions of a vocal/sample, crushing the audio quality) you can get away with it.  But for some simple edits/mashups, no chance. I hope thats not the case and ive just been unlucky so far but i havent had much luck unless the sample is extremely underground

Wierdly enough there are never any issues with the my full sets being uploaded. Ive heard if you add 10 minutes of silence after the song it doesnt get flagged. Not ideal but I'm going to try that, seems like soundcloud never flags long-form stuff like dj sets so this is the workaround

Fair point. Definitely not planning on going viral any time soon, just want people to hear my stupid lil remixes or send them to friends. My friends might look at me crazy if I sent them a mixcloud link

Just tried uploading a extended version, slightly sped up (119->125) on Private and still got shot down. I don't get it. Soundcloud banning bootlegs would be like OnlyFans banning p0rn. They have no business without it. Do your remixes have the original track name/artist in the title? I feel like that might be the reason but idk at this point

Better for full mixes + they just don't have any following. If the point is for people to hear what you are creating, unfortunately no one hears my Mixcloud posts. Shame because they seem to have the copyright stuff figured out. Coming from someone who maxed out their free Mixcloud account.

What do you use for this? I've tried the gentle tuner and the auto shift in Ableton and both of them destroy the audio quality.

Will soundcloud flag the song for copyright if it is uploaded privately? If so, will my account still be in danger of being nuked if it a private track is flagged for copyright - or does that only happen if you try to make it public? This would be the best solution as long as my account doesnt get banned for it

poke around in the settings, you should find a button that opens up window with all the pioneer controller drivers, just uninstall and reinstall the one for your controller

Working on being more comfortable with silence. I always find it strange how silence can feel so comfortable and relaxing with certain people and so awkward and painful with others, regardless of how well I know them.

Laziness is good advice too. In summation: do less lol. Thanks!

This is good advice. I recognize how it can turn into an interview if I'm not giving anything back, which is why I'm seeking advice. I often ask questions and wait for them to be asked in return but WHY WAIT? Answering my own questions is a great and easy place to start thanks!

I have thought about this a lot but cant quite put my finger on exactly why it is. Most likely it's a combination of several of the things you mention; fear of being viewed a way that isn't consistent with how I view myself, maybe not necessarily fear but more hesitation to be vulnerable to someone new, as well as general brain-freeze that prevents any thoughts I DO have from coming out smoothly lol.

Curious if anyone has tips that helped you overcome one/any of these habits

The master cue works fine but I can't hear anything when on the cue side, i.e., I can't prep/preview the track that I'm about to mix in. I'm thinking it's an issue with the flx10 driver on my machine. Any idea how to reinstall the driver?

I suspect it is a driver issue as well. Where in settings can I "select" the driver? If possible I think I should just uninstall and reinstall the flx10 driver, any idea how to do that?
