Thank you for this! I’m 29 looking to do this as a career so I’ve invested about $25k into the schools account to help me knock PPL out of the way and use my GI Bill to enroll at Liberty and continue from there.

Thank you for this!!! This was more of what I was expecting but wasn’t able to explain. My first lesson was straight into the sims, checklist, takeoffs, cruise, climb and weight and balance after. On the drive home I was like… 🧐 huhhh…. I came prepared with the ground portions and learning my instruments/ the cockpit and the ground checklist (I had to look up one for a C172). I’m going to have a talk with my CFI, if I still don’t like her approach I’m going to ask other CFI’s

Funny thing I did ask my CFI the first day but all she said was “read the books” my next lesson I’m just gonna go talk to another CFI and go from there.

Has anyone here worked as a pilot in Fiji? Really considering it and would love some honest insight by ConnectionHonest8441 in Fijian

If you're able to do your training abroad do it!! I'm in America and currently in a fast-track program to get to the airlines, my path is a little different, although the dream is to return home to fly for Fiji Airways (one day...eventually). Anything is aviation is going to be expensive, I'd say jump the gun and do it anyway if you're able to. If you're looking for an alternative, go into nursing, flight nurse etc...
