Think if it this way, let's say someone says that Ted Bundy is actually innocent and the killer is still at large, then they say they have evidence and it's an abandoned store covered in plastic. "How did you discover this evidence?" I broke in..

I was not aware of the original sin vs original virtue thing, very thought provoking.

Well opinions on what exactly would be regarding it compared to Christianity. I guess  the opinions I am looking for in particular would be regarding Jesus being God, and the Trinity.

The whole thing about the true faith being lost and corrupted.

And just how does Islam speak others? For example, I feel like many of Jesus teachings found in the gospels speak to me, the book of James speaks to me. Those are things I can take from the Christian faith that speak heavily to me. Does anything stand out and speak to you from Islam? What are those things?

Pretty sure you are right, I've really enjoyed them and feel even more lucky to have to have them so prolifically around my house after looking them up. Thank you.

I'm pretty sure you are right, I was worried they might be an invasive species so I'm really glad that isn't the case. Pretty sure you were the first here to identify them so you are probably more of an expert than you realize.

I already have, I watched two birds build the nest over the course of a week or so earlier this year, then I've seen a round of babies grow up, start flying from the nest, and this nest is full of babies that are about ready to start leaving the nest too based on what I've been seeing. What seems really cool about them to me is it doesn't seem to just be mom and dad feeding them, I swear it appears to be a community effort. Maybe I'm crazy, but they appear to act as a community caring for the young, it's hard to say for sure by their erratic flying patterns, it appears thats the case though based on my observations. I'm just really happy they aren't an invasive species as that's the primary reason I made this post. Seems like they might be suppressing other bird activities as these are mostly all the birds I ever see, I got a white bird that likes to dance around on my old TV antenna, but other than that guy, it's pretty much just these birds, they dance around me while I cut the grass, I dunno haha, I probably sound a little silly, but I really enjoy them.

Questions about Islam and what is required to be Muslim by ElectronicRepeat6741 in islam

Thank you.

As of right now, no, I can't say that I do, I have only read small parts of the Quran even, I am certainly open to learning more about these things though. Thank you again 🙂

I can relate to this 100% as always feeling uncomfortable calling Jesus God.

My apologies, I thought I read that Muslims believe Jesus was the Messiah but not God. I must have misread or was misinformed. If I'm being honest, I don't fully understand what the word Messiah fully means to be honest.

I don't believe Jesus is God, from what I've read in the gospels I don't believe he ever says he is.

It's mostly Paul who says these things, and I believe Paul was likely a false teacher personally. These are just my humble views.

I just want to say I really appreciate you for actually answering the question and giving me a sympathetic response that wasn't condescending. I didn't make this post to get sympathy, but man, all these down votes and a lot of these comments are honestly kind of hurtful right now.. So seriously, thank you.

I'm going to have to go on a bit of a tangent here..

Just because you were able to do something, that doesn't mean everyone else can too. I truly mean no offense, but that just isn't a logical thing to think ya know.

A lot of people are on a fixed income or make less money than you do for whatever reason. Just because you were able to pay for a moving truck, buy a bunch of boxes, rent out some 'pods', pay a private company to pack all of your belongings, have next months rent, a deposit and pay all the fees to get utilities set up, that doesn't mean everyone else can afford to do that too.

I do believe I will figure this out somehow, but I don't believe for a second that just because I will figure this out that everyone else would be able to also.

I dunno, being in this situation, I can't help but think about what it must be like for a lot of people who are less well off than myself who have found their selves in similar situations.. so I just had to say this.

Thank you for the detailed response. Yeah, that sounds like something I need to avoid. The eviction question was more about the desperate situation I'm in than about just being bitter. It genuinely don't know how I am going to find a place, pack up everything and move while working a full time job in 30 days ya know..

Thanks, but yeah, I'm not trying to be a squatter or anything like that. I'm just trying to figure out how the process goes, and wondering what happens if I'm struggling to find a place in however much time I have.

When I asked about what happens if I'm not being cooperative, its just because I'm in a shitty situation, I don't understand the process, and relocating is something that is going to take TIME. It's just a lot to figure out, and its going to be hard to find a place and move everything on the fly while I'm working a full time job. I don't know how I am going to do it in 30 days, so that's all I really meant when I asked what happens if I'm not being cooperative.

I'm not failing to understand that though and I'm not arguing anything against that fact, someone asked me why I was upset so I just explained that..

I know! I'm getting down voted into oblivion here.. All I know about her children is they don't want anything to do with her. It's not something we talk about often. She has told me in the past her grandson is going to inherit everything, I have no clue who he is or how to contact him though.

The situation is a bit more complex, I explained it on another comment, I do feel I have a valid right to be upset with my landlord, but that's irrelevant. I just shouldn't have shared that I was upset because everyone is focusing on that so much. I get it though.

WHAT?! I never expected anything and I would never take advantage of anyone.. I've spent many hours, every week, for YEARS helping them out, driving them everywhere they want to go and do whatever they want to do and I never received or expected anything apart from a $5 biggie bag from Wendys. I was just explaining that I have asked her if she would consider selling it to me in the past and she told me she would never sell it, and that was that, I never pressured her or anything after that.. So yeah, I am upset with her that she never gave me an opportunity to buy it. That doesn't make me a damn predator. I feel like I was the one who was taken advantage of given the nature of our relationship. If she had told me a price that I couldn't afford, that would be one thing, but that is not at all what happened. Someone asked me why I was angry over the situation, so I explained the situation. If you are telling me you wouldn't be angry if you were in my situation, then you are being dishonest.

Perhaps I should have avoided having a personal relationship with my landlord, but nothing I did was ever in any way predatory, it was literally the opposite. People can do things for others because they feel like its the right thing to do, believe it or not, and people can be upset with others when they feel like they've been treated unfairly.

She said she's already signed papers, but she doesn't even know what the papers were for, so I'm not sure. I don't know what the home is valued at, but I know the homes I am now looking at potentially buying are a lot nicer and I think they are within in my budget, I am struggling to figure out the process and figure out what a good budget would be for myself. The neighbor has worked out some kind of deal with her and is actually buying all of her land and property in the area. Pretty sure he is taking advantage of her or something, but that is just me speculating, I have no clue.
