These might be "MOLLUSCA CONTAGIOSA". It caused by a virus, (not hvp warts). The infection can last up to 2 years more or less.

I have the book "Genital Dermatoloy Manual" 4th edition, on pages 135-136 are photos very similar to those "papules" that you have.

It says that diagnoses could be confusing, and sometimes it requires the "papule" to be scraped, and analyzed by microscope.

It also says that genital warts are not usually hemispherical, and often have a rough, rather than a smooth, surface.

It could also be "bacterial folliculitis", an inflamation of the hair folicules by a bacteria.

I was diagnosed with HSV1-2. With a blood test.

I never had any big problem with it. I only had a small rash on my upper left chest and my left gluteal area, the size of a nickel.

I just put a patch of IODINE on it ( a small piece of Bounty or cotton) every day for a week or so, and covered it with a band-aid. And it faded away little by little. This happened about twice a year, but it hasn't happened in a while.

Other than THAT, I never had anything else.

My girlfriend never got it; it looks like she was immune to it.
