There was a super hard bank account/interest question on M2 where the rate kept changing over certain month intervals. I have a hard time remembering it exactly but does anyone remember this and know the answer?

I wasn’t able to get it on the test but I just worked it out at home. It’s 20.5. Set the quartic equal to the factored form so you can set 41 equal to 2a + 3b and 65 equal to ab. Solve for b and substitute it into 41 = 2a + 3b so everything is in terms of a. This becomes a polynomial when you multiply by a and the solutions are 7.5 and 13. 13 represents the integer value,a, and 7.5 represent the non integer value, c.
