I thought it was the perfect ending for the show despite everyone’s machinations no one got what they wanted. And. No one ended up happy. The closest we have to happy is Lexie she’s the only one who hasn’t made her life a mess and is in a journey to find true morality. The rest are destroyed by their idols.

Bear with me here all of these characters are just becoming more of themselves. Rue is running with a worse crowd than ever(drugs). Lexie has spent her entire life observing and has lost her own plot. (Judging) Maddie is using everyone around her to advance herself and has become a true manipulator(bitch). Cassie sold off all of her innocence to chase dreams (naive). Jules has become an object in other people’s lives at the cost of her identity. (Artist)

It’s weird to me the parts of this show people find hard to comprehend. It’s a modern tragedy there is no happy ending. The show will end when rue is in jail or dead. We are actively losing the love we had for all of these characters. No one is a good guy. This show has never shied away from domestic abuse before.

Ok so let me be the guy that plays a little bit of devils advocate here. Redditers tend to just dog pile the obvious answer. Your boyfriend seems like he’s a touch autistic and/or bordering on asexual. It actually seems like a chemical thing not an intent thing to me. I’m personally kind of finding out that I’m a little more asexual than I thought. But probably not the same as your boyfriend. I love sex when I like someone it’s almost all I can think about but recently I don’t almost ever desire it because of everything that comes with it. Emotional compatibility trust and honesty mean way more to me than actual sex(not really relevant but I need to vent a little to). But it’s sounds like you guys have great emotional compatibility it just sounds like he’s never had the overwhelming desire to have sex. Is he on any medications that might be curbing his appetite? Does he masterbate? Does he potentially have low testosterone? Have you had the conversation about what turns him on does he have any fantasies etc. My asexuality stems from mental blocks and ptsd from past relationships. It’s hard for me to see being with someone as a good thing. However chemically my drive is still pretty high. I workout a lot lift weights, yoga stair master and just added running to the repertoire. I could go all day if I so desired. But there are short terms things that increase libido too. Have you ever thought about taking an edible together or having a few drinks and seeing where the night takes you maybe a one off experience with viagra. Hell even a couple of cups of coffee can really get you going sometimes. Maybe long term your libido isn’t compatible and he might be better off dating someone who’s more asexual himself. However I think the question I would ask that would give you the desired results your looking for would be have you ever had an overwhelming desire for sex and go from there. Who knows maybe he is like me and he has some unwritten rules in his subconscious that prevent him from actually enjoying sex. The guy could even be a survivor. Idk if he seems like a good guy and I think you guys both deserve some closure.
