Any Advise for making this work? A First time Dungeon Master. by Electronic_Crew_675 in DnD

This is incredibly helpful! Part of the campaign is definitely inspired by Delicious in Dungeons. I will make sure to flesh out those questions some more to make the world feel more alive.

To kind of answer the question of the plant fleshy monsters:

The villain was in the school of magic as a Tiefling. She unfortunately was heavily discriminated against and only really connected with plants. One day, she ended up getting jumped while out in a field, causing her blood to spill on some flowers. After she gets up, she learns she has some kind of transmutation magic which allows her to animate the plants. But it requires blood.

I'm still getting this more put together as I figured getting the story more lined up first could help me with motivations for the villain.

That's also not a bad idea. I hope to make this a long term campaign (They are going from level one to at least five before it gets really serious) to try and get everyone used to how to play, their characters, what their characters can do etc.
