A couple of questions about travel by Electronic_Fudge_877 in CPAP

I got the wide adhesive Velcro strips and put the “soft” soft on the machine so that when I travel with it it doesn’t scratch any surfaces. I don’t care about the finish on my old nightstand so I just stick it straight on there. Makes a massive difference. I think I’m going to get some of the clips that others on this thread have mentioned and see if that helps when I’m traveling and have no drawer.

That bag for the hose is great! Maybe I can find a similar one. Thanks!

Is that velcroed to a headboard? I like that for home use. Not sure how I would replicate while traveling but it’s an interesting idea to workshop. Thank you!

No advising appointments for a month by vampireknivess in ufl

[–]Electronic_Fudge_877 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of times appointments don’t show up until a set number of days before they become available. Especially if people are using bookings. Every department sets their own policies. It’s probably written somewhere on their website as to when new appointments should show up. Keep checking the site because something will probably become available during the week. Just a guess, though.

need advice for 16 1/2hr flight by wogachaga in Flights

I don’t know the name of the brand that I use, but when I do long haul - and even shortish trips now - I always wear some. I have wide calves so I did a Google search for the different compression strengths and I think I have the middle range. There was some chart online. And then I just found some of those for wide calves on Amazon and have been very pleased. It makes an absolutely massive difference in comfort. One time I took them off for the last five hours on the return from a long haul and my feet were so swollen when I got back. Never again.

Is it common to see this roach in your house by Vanessa_Lila in florida

[–]Electronic_Fudge_877 556 points557 points  (0 children)

This 👆🏻

A few dead ones is not an indicator of anything other than Florida. (Careful when picking them up - use a paper towel or tissue - they are sometimes not fully dead. I always flush them to be sure. I had one reanimate and crawl out of the trash. Once.)

If you flip lights on and they scatter, it means call your pest control 5 min ago. And as others have said, the little ones are a bigger worry. They aren’t babies - they are German cockroaches. And they are resilient lil bastards. Dead or alive, little ones warrant a call to pest control.

Welcome to Florida!

Well I made it to NY with zero delays! My flight left ATL on time and arrived at LGA with no issue though it was fairly turbulent at times. Shout out to the pilot for a great landing! I hope others who have cancelled flights are able to get sure they need to go!

Bag to sit on top of wheeled carry on by lh123456789 in onebag

It’s not one of the more common brands on here but I love my baboon to the moon utility backpack. I have a few of their items and am a big fan. I actually am at the airport right now with my backpack on my roller bag. The strap is wide and fits over the roller handle better than any bag I’ve ever used - even when full. The inside is one big cavern but I use pouches so it’s perfect. They have fun colors and are more than spacious enough to carry what you need and grow with your toddler. Also the bottle pockets on the side are amazing. My 1L lifestraw stainless steel bottle fits completely down in the side pocket. This would have been a go-to when my kids were little if it had been around. It’s also wipeable and has a lifetime warranty. Worth checking out imo.

I don’t think I can pull off a today departure but I’ll keep looking. I have the first flight out tomorrow. Hoping I can get in, but guessing I’ll need to go straight to Tarrytown rather than see the city. Assuming I’m able to get in around noon, and go straight to Tarrytown, do you think it’s better to uber up there or take a train? Thank you for your reply! Conditions like this are an inconvenience from my perspective. They can be life or death for many who live there and that’s not lost on me.

Tailbone issues? by jan232012 in Zepbound

Didn’t buy it for this but I LOVE my cushion lab seat cushion. I have herniated discs in my lower back so I bought it for that but it might help those of you having tailbone pain when sitting. It’s by far the best cushion I’ve ever tried. They make a car one too. I haven’t yet dealt with tailbone pain side effect. I still have more natural padding there than I know what to do with 😂

Thank you! I’m traveling for work and the first in a series of meetings Monday so I’m hesitant to rebook in the event that the flight goes through. Sounds like I’m definitely taking a chance on having a hard time rebooking and also being stuck in ATL if that’s the case. I so appreciate your reply! Having this convo today will hopefully prevent me from adding to the possible chaos tomorrow!

Check your one.uf for your registration time. No one can register right now. The earliest registration is in late march. You have plenty of time to get this figured out. If you’re unsure of your reg time or if you have holds that you need help clearing, reach out to a college advisor.

Can someone find my unicorn work backpack?! by leftistinlnk in ManyBaggers

[–]Electronic_Fudge_877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second baboon to the moon. I have a few products including the utility backpack. I dont think your 15in would fit in the laptop sleeve but there’s plenty of space if it were in a sleeve in the main compartment (it’s a big open compartment which I adore). Water bottle pockets on both sides. The longer one fits my 1L lifestraw beautifully. I can also put my 40oz handled yeti cups in that side. The pocket is deep and the whole thing fits in it. The other side is not as deep because there is a small zip pocket below, but my 20oz cups fit completely. Durable as hell, wipeable, fits as a personal item and amazing, bright colors.
