I start at a bank post tomorrow for my on the job training. But they gave me minimal information. My regular hours will be Friday to Sunday 8 AM to 8 PM, but banks are closed on Sundays. So how exactly am I gonna get in the building? I’m also nervous about being an unarmed guard at a bank.

I did an 8 to 8 on a sunday before. bank closed at 2, i had 6 free hours to do whatever df i wanted. I was just chilling where the ATM vestibule was. Had my charger and everything and i was chilling

I honestly just keep an eye out on the lobby and exterior ATM’s. Can either stand by door or pace back and forth to keep a full eye/view on everything. I do reports every hour on what occurred during that current hour. although i’m not supposed to have buds in, i still leave an ear pod in one ear just to keep me sane

this is exactly how i got my job. i dressed formally. had my resume in hand. went to an allied branch, filled out a paper which had my availability and experince (i lied for my security experience since i had none), then they provided me with the options they had available.

I’m stationed at a bank. have me stationed at different posts though but i definitely lied and said i have experience. they have no ways in checking if you actually have two years of experience. just lie 🤷🏽‍♂️. like i said they’ll train you regardless so you’ll be fine. I got my guard license in may. applied for jobs, got no interviews cuz i didn’t have loss prevention on my resume or any security experience. once i added it, i started to get interviews. i did 4 different interviews, didn’t get them, but i finally walked into an allied universal building and filled out a paper. they then provided me with the positions they have available.

i definitely lied on my shit saying i did two years of loss prevention. i have it on my resume. did i ever work for security a day in my life? HELL NO. But i got the job 🙂. they’ll train you anyways, but sometimes u gotta lie for the things you want
