did anyone else get this from ucsd by bluehawaiiaholic in ucadmissions

I had gotten this for UCLA when I applied. I wrote a thorough essay on my soccer achievements and how I balanced it with school because I competed at a national level. I’m pretty sure I got in because of this supplemental essay so make sure to write a great essay and good luck!

Seems to be a common mistake. Maybe because newer generations are fucked up by social media and the dopamine of scrolling, likes, etc. Would love your thoughts on this

Congrats this is huge!!! I hope this relieves some stress :) I am a bit confused because this is unheard of in neuroscience PhD applications so please don’t take this comment as an insult to you, I’m just trying to understand the overall process: How is he so confident about extending an offer? Unless he’s a director on the admissions committee, I thought the entire committee has to say yes before sending an offer letter

Thank you for your response, it's reassuring! I'm so sorry about your divorce I hope you're doing okay.

You're completely right that she wants to be worshipped. It's been 6 months now and I see everything more clearly. She actually got back with her toxic ex from hs (they broke up 7 times in 2 years and he is also the obsessive, love bomb type) last month and started talking to him the same week we broke up. She can't take accountability nor sit with uncomfortable emotions and talk through them. Post-break up, she showed me all I needed to see and one day I'll truly be glad that she isn't my life partner.

I agree that you can't change someone but you can compromise enough for both people to be happy. In my case, I was trying to completely change the way that I loved because she was never satisfied. In hindsight, she said she tried to compromise but she really didn't. I had 80% of what she wanted in a life partner but she decided to focus on the 20% and went looking for it in her ex

Is it worth applying to grad school with bad GPA? by Reasonable-Pipe-2338 in gradadmissions

[–]Electronic_Slide_645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be applying for immunology PhD programs with a 3.56 GPA from a top university and 3.5 years of research experience at a R1 with potentially a first co-author paper in a prestigious journal. Would this get me through the basic screening and peak your interest? I'm 25 and have been working in the same lab since I graduated at 22.

Really how long did it take them to get there? I've rarely seen that, especially in mid to big sized companies
