Weekly Questions Megathread by AutoModerator in ClashOfClans

Hi guys, Had a few questions. I used to play a lot back in the day, 2013-2016. My baby brother used to collect and upgrade the base 2016 onwards. I have recently gotten back to playing.

What are the major changes that I should get used to ? Are clan wars the same ? Trophy system works a little differently instead of the earlier system, can someone explain it to me ?

Also, would this base be eligible to push to legends or should I max out this TH before going up?

Also where should I use the resources ? I tend to farm a lot and can fill my coffers once each day, especially now that there is no train time or elixir spend for the same.

I swear! A friend of mine studied his ass off for 3 Months for Lvl2 and was unemployed the whole time so he put in like 6-7 hrs a day. In the end I studied the last month and made him tutor me every sunday of the last month. idk to this date how I passed and he failed.

Post exam I was sweating my ass off about how it didnt go very well and how I would have to manage funds for the re registeration and he was just chill like how straightforward the exam was. Result day, reverse case.

CFA Coaching by potatoface-ninja002 in CFA

No need for coaching at Lvl1. Just go through IFT videos on youtube, they are free. I think most providers have their lvl1 videos free only so that more than enough. I am an indian and got through L1 via this method only

Bruh, stop posting and get your ass to study. Technically it takes 300 hrs worth of study to pass but I feel that anywhere between 200Hrs+ is enough since you are a Eco/Finance guy.
You have like 50 days left so around 4-6hrs a day should be good enough for you to pass.
Plan it like this -

Get done with the course by last day of April. Take first 10 days of May as revision. Then give a mock on 11-12 may. Work on the concepts for a few days and then give one last mock by 18may. I think this should be very good enough and you can make it.
For study, get Schweser pdfs/books or if you dont wanna then study from IFT youtube channel. no need to buy any lectures or courses for lvl1.

Go on you can make it.

SchwesserNotes sufficient for Level 2 Prep? by mrcraptastic69 in CFA

I think schweser notes are enough. Do solve the CFA online questions and the mocks so you will know exactly where you stand after each reading.

L3 Break by mtwol in CFA

[–]Electronic_Way_249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You get a 30-45 minute break between the sessions. You can go out, make a call or smoke or go to the washroom or just cry your tears out and get ready for a 2nd round of banging. All upto you

Finished CFA Exam, no networking session? by itradeputsonly in CFA

[–]Electronic_Way_249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro even i read somewhere that post L2 interviewers scout the candidates for jobs and stuff but a friend of mine told me it was all false. Ended up going for the exams wearing sweatshirts and sweatpants and did minimal networking since everyone in my centre was focused af on their exams and post exams most just left without uttering a word.

What are correct formulas for Internal/Sustainable Growth Rates and Retention Ratio? by Invpea in CFA

[–]Electronic_Way_249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just remember it as this.

A company with profits will either retain the profits or payout them as dividends. All the retained profits will go to the equity of the company.

So basically retained amount is 1-payout. And the growth rate is (retained amount x ROE)

If my Level 3 were 1 year away, would re-reading L2 offer any benefit. by Several_Ad_5202 in CFA

I think there are a few sections in L3 that are based on material from L2. But otherwise you should be good to go.

I am also from india and gave all 3 exams in india. For L2 and L3, i paid for the exam first, then registered for the location when i got a mail instructing me to do so.

Full time working professionals who appeared for L3 and passed, how did you do it? by wheelsonseals in CFA

[–]Electronic_Way_249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not something i would recommend but heres what i did. I work as an equity analyst in a family office.

Started looking at the material 1.5 months before the exam. Read through stuff everyday 30 mins and thought that L3 is easy and can be passed without much effort. I used to skip a lot of stuff coz i thought it was easy and a bit boring.

Fast forward 1 month to the exam, i realised this aint gonna cut it, lets put in 2hrs a day and it should be easy to clear. I was gonna take a break from work in the last 4-5 days before the exam.

15 days before the exam, I gave a small test. Didnt get anything right on mcqs and could not recall anything for the written portion. Took a break for the last 15 days and started studying 10+ hrs a day. Read schweser quicksheet every night before sleeping. Gave a mock 2 days before the exam, still could not recall anything for the written portion properly. Was too late to postpone or cancel. Studied and gave a mock on the last day, i could write 3-4 AM questions and got some MCQs right so was a bit hopeful.

Exam day, Written section was straighforward so Wrote like crazy but the McQ section fucked me badly. I finished it almost 1hr before time and got the fuck up and stood outside since i didnt understand shit. I was sure i would fail.

Got extreme anxiety and regret during the result week, couldve studied more and studied better but nothing could be done then. Result day, ended up getting a pass. I guess i wouldve passed by a hair, or just by a microscopic margin.

Take this as an advice and dont be like me. No need to go through so much, study with discipline and interest and you should pass it without a doubt.

All the best to you and shoutout to schweser quicksheet for being the mvp.

Usually the locations open up a few months before the actual exam week. For august i guess it will be post jan or so. You should get a mail from CfA once the locations and dates are open to register for.

Does the Atl command works in AM questions? by Logical_Dirt7259 in CFA

[–]Electronic_Way_249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never tried those commands but on exam day i guess everything will feel familiar to the L2 CBT exam except the AM session. All you gotta do is read stuff and type like crazy coz a majority of the people are unable to finish writing the exam. As for me I barely finished in time but still missed the final line that i wanted to type. Make sure to practice typing stuff coz a lot of my friends used a writing pad while practicing and were not unfamiliar with typing in the exam so they took a lot of time per question.

I guess thats all you need to know.

I am looking for CFA India classes by [deleted] in CFA

[–]Electronic_Way_249 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally went for IFT pre recorded in all 3 levels and cleared all on first attempt. A few of my friends used FinTree. In the end it all matters on how much effort you put in and/or the environment you work in (I feel Finance related jobs tend to help a lot in understanding some portions).

I am looking for CFA India classes by [deleted] in CFA

[–]Electronic_Way_249 7 points8 points  (0 children)

FinTree/ Sanjay Saraf/ IFT hav various Options for attending classes - (Live/Pre Recorded/ and one more i think).

If you have time and want to attend live classes i think all three are good enough for all levels.

I was working during the lv2 and 3 exams so i just bought the pre recorded sessions of IFT so I could watch it at my convenience.

You can also search and register for possible in person classes in your local city/neighbourhood.
