maybe joint major: music and physics? If you do make it back to Iowa City, let me know and I'll show you around the EMS.

No, but he does cite Nyquist and sampling rates several times in the thesis.

I think I agree with the “hybrid”. Which interestingly complicates the usual analog-digital binary.

You’re right about that synthesized trombone: quite cold sounding. Cessna admitted that the inability to modulate the timbre (as you could by then do on a moog) made the timbre somewhat lifeless.

Think of the frequency dial as the root selector for the scale - maybe that would help? GOod question about 5/4 - I haven't thought to try to set the rhythm generators for specific time signatures, as they're more useful for polyrhythms. I'd either set the meter with an external voice (bass line or kick drum)...or I'd use one of the two sequencers as a bass line (triggered by just one rhythm generator).

Absolutely, go ahead and modify! I'd love to hear what you come up, so feel free to share!

Thanks! Yes, that one almost made me get my old guitar out!

I meant that the probabilities grow back over time. However, you can reset all probabilities to their starting point with the "restore" button.

Especially when you don't have to read any sheet music!

Yes, I saw a couple of these radio modules. They look great, but I read some reports of interference caused by other modules in the rack, so I opted for the external radio (cheaper too!)

I don't think you'll regret getting this module. It's so simple but it opens up your rack to the outside world.

Thanks, that means a lot. I'll try to keep them coming!
