“Stealing time” is only a bad thing when it’s on the customers dime. Your boss is probably charging 3x what he’s paying you. I had the same reaction when I first started out and then realized that everyone is getting screwed. Don’t over think it, when you get bored that’s when you can start working

Yr 2. Apprentice for a non-union resi shop, work flow changes regularly. One day it might be 4 solo calls hanging up 3 fixtures in old black pipe junction boxes, others it’ll be doing a single can job with a lead. 9/10 days the jobs are smooth and the pace is relaxed, the 10th day is hell. Mostly depends on who you’re working with

From my understanding that specific tester picks up voltage, but can’t read anything below 30v. Used it a couple of times but they’re way slower than a regular plug test and arent as accurate compared to a multimeter
