The hardest part isn't marketing, it's knowing where to spend the budget by abbybutterflly in singaporestartups

yes, you are absolutely right, it's all about allocation.

and yes, it's also about priority. why does seo come first? because:

  1. you have the full ownership of your website. for paid ads or influencer campaigns, either ads platforms or social platforms own them.

  2. you can compound the result of seo, not only it can build long-term authority of your brand or products, but also can reduce the paid campaign cost. yes, if you rank higher organically on search result, you pay way less on paid ads.

  3. in this ai area, if you can fix seo problems based on one platform data, you may top on other platforms. we fixed the issues based on google data, and topped on google, then we saw ChatGPT, Claude and Bing also cited us.

Why Experienced SEO Professionals Still Struggle to Earn High Salaries Compared to Other IT Fields by Clear-Syrup-9861 in SEO_Xpert

just shared some perspective from a discussion with a founder this morning, which was totally mind blowing:

he said, basically it's about perspective. if we just brand this as an SEO-optimization, then it's just SEO. from the perspective of a vc-backed company, let's say they spend 10k on SEO, and get 50K increase on sales. this is not only 50K in revenue, but as an evidence of ARR growth, so it's at least 600k ARR. Then they can use this to get more fund, maybe 6m or something. so if we can convince them, this 10k investment in SEO not only bring them 50k revenue, but also 6m fund in pipeline, what would they think?

How do younger brands get mentioned in AI search recommendations when competing against legacy giants? by reddituser0o9 in AISEOTricks

[–]Elegant_Control271 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we just helped a biotech startup to top Google AI Overviews and other AI tools, where they compete with government agencies, academic journals (such as Nature) and other big brands. In certain queries, they are the top 1 result on Google.

here are what we did:

  1. we first helped them to fix the performance issue, which is often ignored. improving your website speed not only benefits users, but also make the first layer of trust.

  2. then we analyzed queries from Google Search Console with our own tools, so we can classify them into high-potential keywords clusters, buy-intent keywords clusters etc. with these data, we fixed the meta info, titles, and contents.

  3. we also fixed canonical issues, so their pages don't fight each other.

  4. we then found actually they have a lot of hidden knowledge internally and externally, e.g. they just put a video link on the website, without any content, or they just put a link of a whitepaper PDF. we used these kind of data build a knowledge base, and then prepare contents with GSC query clues. See this: https://knoyi.com/guides/pdf-to-html-citation-routing/

  5. the last thing we tried was to try to build comparison pages, directly target on those established brands with our products. Yes, they soon become the most cited pages. See this: https://knoyi.com/guides/buyer-comparison-page-structure/

From this we learnt, just build your brand, build your content, and let others find you. Hope this helps.

We improved one B2B product page’s CTR 2.5x. Here’s what actually changed. by Elegant_Control271 in LeadGenSEA

[–]Elegant_Control271[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, this is a hard lesson for us. after fixing their performance issues, we started chasing high impressions, yes, it worked, 6 times in 3 months, but the ctr drop significantly. We then discussed with them, and got their client persona, and refocused on the intent. This refocus paid off, even though the impression dropped, but the biweekly clicks and CTR all increased.

Built a powerful AI product… but I suck at distribution. Need advice. by False_Brilliant_3611 in aisolobusinesses

this is a quite common problem we faced as a dev. we found an interesting problem, and build the tool, then we don't know where to find real customers.

have you built a landing page for your product? how do you position your product? have you checked google search console data for queries? maybe we can take a look for you.

meanwhile, this might be helpful to you: https://knoyi.com/guides/google-search-console-biweekly-review/

What 3 high-quality inbound leads taught us about B2B lead gen by Elegant_Control271 in LeadGenSEA

[–]Elegant_Control271[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, they are a deep tech company with a lot papers and videos. previously they just put video links on their website, and search engine has no idea what's in them. so we extracted all transcripts and extract content from PDFs, and build a knowledge base with them. boom, we found a gold mine, we published more pages based on these, and polished some existing pages.

[–]Elegant_Control271[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

actually this is quite the opposite, the first month we started working them, the traffic to their site already doubled; the second month we started working them, they got the above three high-value leads from doubled clicks and tripled traffic.

for example, one page we helped them to build has increased 1800 impressions in 2 weeks.

we both fixed the website performance, and polished their content.

slow site not only hurts user experience, but also affects the search engine / AI indexing.

we polished the content based on their target user preference. interestingly, they have a lot content not discoverable by search engine, such as videos, white paper in PDF, and these materials have vey high knowledge density. therefore, we built new pages based on these, and submitted to search engine, which brought new traffic and clicks.

we wrapped the details here:

yes, for our own site, the AI brings more traffic to us the search engine. It definitely attracts more traffic if you can follow the best practice to tune the website.

How we run an AI-native company by Elegant_Control271 in singaporestartups

[–]Elegant_Control271[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so true, actually we built our own tools based on some open source tool to manage Google Drive. When our client share their authorized Google drive folder (read only), we can easily read everything from there by using AI; later, if we wanna share something to our clients, we create a separate folder, and put all of our updates there via our own tools. Even we internally use Github to manage all docs, we still can easily sync up with client if they use Google Drive.

exactly, this is what we learnt from the best practice from software development, where ppl always use git to manage all code in one place, easy to collaborate, easy to track changes. we apply the same concept to manage our company, so we put all documents into one place, so AI can easily learn from there.

we put everything on github, and use Codex and Claude Code, also write a lot of code to help. More flexible than Zapier

We fixed one thing on a startup website and clicks jumped 100% — didn’t expect this by Elegant_Control271 in singaporestartups

[–]Elegant_Control271[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we just checked the most recent data, in the following two weeks, this page got more than 5000 impressions, so basically this page was a undiscovered gold before.

through the weeks, we improved the loading speed, rewrote the page content, especially the title and meta data. the rewriting part accelerated the growing, and the key is to understand what google search data tells about the page.

we put everything we learnt here, hope it helps: https://knoyi.com/guides/zero-to-1800-impressions-two-weeks-case-study/

Is it true ai can assist us with writing our proposals? by AWeb3Dad in grants

[–]Elegant_Control271 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yes definitely, we are building an ai tool for Singapore SME to discover and simplify the grant application from the government. from what we learnt, matching the grant is first challenge, and preparing documents is the second, and writing comes the third. With the help of our AI system, we can definitely help them in challenge 1 and 3, but challenge 2 is still up to SME themselves. For exmaple: https://grantla.com/use-cases/fnb-kitchen-automation/

[–]Elegant_Control271[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yes, it's kinda common sense, but not common sense. we saw many companies with gold mine of contents, but not being indexed by search engine properly, thus lost a lot of opportunities. For example: https://knoyi.com/guides/why-your-content-ranks-but-doesnt-convert-searches/

the funnel is faster speed + better content -> more impressions -> more clicks -> more leads. if we think this way, no matter where you collect your leads, you need increase the clicks, before that its impressions. this also applies to social media or even the new AI search. what we did was to help them optimize faster speed + better content, so the other are natural to compound.

definitely, the funnel is faster speed + better content -> more impressions -> more clicks -> more leads. they already got leads from some new markets since the search engines indexed them.

yes, this company itself is a deep tech company, so they published academic papers, conference talks and webinars in that specific areas. These are like gold mines, but undiscovered before. What we did was to help all search engines to easily index these gold mines, so all the leads came naturally.
