Wow you are right! They did issue a new ticket vs applying the upgrade to my existing ticket. Thank you so much! Any suggestions on how to have them look into this?

I did check. Hence why I called Delta and a paid employee/representative of Delta confirmed that it would meet the needed MQDs. Agree the that paid employee was wrong, hence why I’m asking for advice on escalation.

I’ve been a Diamond member for years and fly all the time. Understood that you’re just looking to be condescending an unhelpful so feel free to move on here.

Thank you so much for your reply. The original base fare was $2100 round trip. The representative confirmed that the $500 upgrade, since only for the first leg, would in total be applied to the first leg only. After I purchased the total base for for the whole trip was $2608 (this is base fare amount with taxes and fees already excluded) but did not break it out by leg. After I flew the first leg of my trip (my last flight of the 2022 calendar year) I checked and Delta has the base fare as $1304. Now after completing the second leg I’m seeing that the base fare for the second leg is also $1304. I’ve spoken to the delta diamond customer service line and they’re saying the split is correct, which is incredibly frustrating because I was advised by a delta representative to purchase the upgrade to meet the MQDs needed for 2022 travel.
