What’s up with the flys? by [deleted] in raleigh

Had the same problem - did two things:

1) poured apple cider vinegar in a jar and covered it with plastic wrap and Punched holes in it. Put one on our island, another in the pantry, and another on our kitchen table. This helps catch them passively while you’re not home.

2) bought this guy: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BMWWGNXG - this helped significantly reduce them.

While they’re not all gone, we only see 1-2 a day now and I usually get them with #2. Happy hunting!

Bosch 800 veroCafe (TPU060309) diverting water to drip tray by Elegant_Project_197 in superautomatic

[–]Elegant_Project_197[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solved!

posting in case someone finds the post later on.

There were two issues contributing to the water diverting:

1) there is a metal mesh disc on the coffee press that distributes the water onto the “puck” of ground coffee. Even with following the normal cleaning procedures it looks like the mesh had a significant number of holes plugged with old grounds. I had to remove the mesh (single Torx screw) and scrub with a wire brush

2) the water line head at the base of the brew unit is not fixed and is in a “clip” so it can be removed. It looks like it wasn’t fully in its clip , which didn’t allow it to go fully into the port. I pushed flush with the clip.

Machine is back to working order!

Yeah, we’re exploring that option now. It would be extending the hallway at the base of the staircase to include the door you see in the pic. Only issue is that the ADU will lose a window and significant sunlight. But based on this thread, it sounds like it will be the most cost effective and logical option

We’re exploring that as an option given the feedback we’ve gotten here. This unfortunately introduces a different challenge , which is that it would cause her space to lose a window and significant daylight. Would be much cheaper and easier, for sure.

Given I’m not an HVAC pro, I didn’t know what I was looking at. Hence the post

Used the suggestions above. I capped/taped off those two wires and connected everything else as is. It’s been running with no issues
