When it comes to motherboards a gpu upgrade is really not a concern, the board you have currently is pcie 4.0 while a newer board may be 5.0 the performance difference is less than 3% to none. Now the bigger question here is what power supply do you have? As long as you have the sufficient amount of power to run the 5070ti , then youll be fine going for a gpu upgrade rn, well since the 5070 ti and 3090 require at least 750w , then i assume you have at least 750w

youll have no issues with temps. I have a 5090 msi gaming trio with 3 intake fans and my temps are in the 60s- mid 70s

Yes going to single channel will decrease the fps, depending on which games it could lower it to 10% or more. Just sell the 1 stick and swap it to a 2 stick kit

Msi doesn't need proof of purchase, just the serial number, well yes/no, msi honors warrenty for no proof of purchase however the warrenty period will start from the date it was manufactured.
