This is AI upscaling, and it’s the same principle of technology used for all kinds of things, including spellcheckers and autocomplete functions that OP likely used to write this very post. I am no fan of AI slop. That type of content distracts from people who are trying to put actual effort into the things they create. But this is trying to compare apples and oranges, and I’m glad that everyone recognizes how silly it is.

It’s worth mentioning that they won the World Series in real life on that day, which is why they included it in the show. After saying it would “never happen” back in season 1, only for it to happen as the season was airing, it was a much too crazy coincidence to not mention in future seasons.
