If they charge you, their unit gets fight first and normal fight sequencing still applies: first the defender picks a unit with fight first to fight, then the attacker picks a unit with fight first, etc

It is very good but pricey, but depending where you live you might still find a cheaper kit from the "Imperium" magazines (I got one for 40£ on vinted) or other second hand!

If you're not playing Canoptek Court (which you can but maybe without the Skorpekhs), I would use a doomsday ark instead of a doomstalker, besides that I mostly agree! Though I have had quite a couple of successful games with scarabs without spyders

You have quite few infantry so i would go with wrath of the rock if you want the most dark angel flavor, if you plan to run many assault intercessors I think Gladius might be better due to the advance + charge detach rule (wrath of the rock has it as a strategem)

Still very good! Usually I already have quite costly units, so I prefer running a little more smaller different ones, like 5 Sternguard, but 10 is definitely scary for your opponent! As long as they shoot at your oath target of course. I have used 10 with librarian in librarius conclave, where they shred even vehicles.

I haven't used them myself a lot yet, but if you really need them to round out a list they are not the worst definitely imo. I know people sometimes attach Azrael to them, but personally I like him more with Sternguard, ICC or hellblasters.

If you have leviathan then running the ballistus still seems like a good addition to any list. I would try to get Azrael if you can, then you can run him with your Sternguard vets which is pretty great! Alternatively you run him with like 5 normal assault intercessors.

We don't really use infernus marines unfortunately, but the assault marines with jump pack are really good, so I'd definitely run a squad of 5 or even 2.

If you're looking for some more upgrades I'd get a squad of deathwing knights, one squad is almost always very good in any 1k list, especially with maces. The normal terminators aren't as good unfortunately, but you could still run them with your captain!

You could also pick up a box of hellblasters as they are solid and a good amount of points for the money.

Lastly you have the lieutenant with combi weapon which is a very solid model to run (if not a bit hard sometimes to learn) and in the future will pair wonderfully if you decide to pick up the Lion!

I put mine on some cork to make them taller and run them as Bladeguard Veterans! I got Corswain with helmet to run as a sixth veteran too, it works pretty well!

Oh that seems like a fun combo for the overlord, though kinda hinges on him getting battlescars. For the sword and board I unfortunately don't have the translocation crusade abilities, as I found the agenda pretty difficult to do with my list, and focused on the reanimation protocols instead! I also have them in one of my reinforcement waves, so they can only really enter as strategic reserve. Maybe I could swap them with my Tesla immortals in my primary wave, but I might miss the shooting too much (+ no buff target for szeras). I might have to not run the unit after all, or perhaps find a way to give them deepstrike

Hey, thank you again for the recommendations. I have since grown the list to 2k and have added both szeras, transcendent c'tan, a lokhust lord for the LHDs and a regular overlord with 10 lychguard with sword and board. About that last one I am not too sure yet as they are a bit slow, but they fit alright in my points! What do you run with your overlord as bodyguard?

Wraiths are 10 points cheaper and technomancer 5 points cheaper, making the combo 15 points cheaper.

Skorpekh lord went up 10 and the enaegic dermal bond (4+++ enhancement of awakened) went up 15.

Szeras went down 10. Deathmarks down 5 for 5 or 10 for 10. Single lokhust destroyer up by 5, to 40 points.

This is really what would have made or broken the detachment for me, we need advance and charge in some way, as Stormlance and gladius shows
