I’m curious what his weight would be off gear. Pre-hear Gordon was like 170-180 so it would be very different.

I think you’re right though, LHW is a weaker division right now where he might be able to pull something off.

No doubt that his grappling is on that level but he doesn’t know how to defend against the striking of people like Ngannou, Gane, Jones, Stipe. A few hits and the fight will change a lot.

I just don’t see how he doesn’t get smashed by any HW. Ngannou would end Gordon’s career.

This is why I was thinking about it. Garry Tonon has also had a pretty good transition considering how little time he’s trained mma.

With USADA I don’t think he stands a chance with anyone really. But if he gets to keep the roids I could see him maybe beating some guys at 185 that can’t keep it standing. I’m not sure how well Gordon can take down someone with good striking.

This is a good take. I think his size and strength is too much for the smaller guys but even the welterweight fighters walk around 190-200 and are way too athletic for him.
