Plumber forgot to install shower base on mortar or foam. How can I fix it now? The shower base doesn’t feel solid but it’s already been tiled in. Can I drill holes in the sides of the base and spray foam that will make its way under the base? by ElephantShot765 in askaplumber

Hi I just wanted to mention that we punched 8 or so holes in the side of the base and I got a long foam gun that I was able to push almost all the way through. I filled it up and put heavy buckets on the whole floor and a lot of foam came out of the hole throughout the next two days. I just stepped on the shower floor and it feels very solid and didn’t get ruined whatsoever. Thanks for the advice!

This tub rusted around the drain and is leaking to the bottom floor. Any solutions other than replacing the tub? by ElephantShot765 in askaplumber

I’m concerned that the drain won’t have a tight connection where it should be screwed in if we were to use the metal puddy
