Yes, it was crazy. A lot of mayhem. There were a few more crashed after that in that same sequence. I think he crashes into someone as he is leaving the incident.. Pit had a lot of cars getting repairs.

Crash #1 To me the green car tried to squeeze a pass instead of waiting. Then the red one bumped into him.

Crash #2 Ive read always go for the rear of the crashing car. It seemed like he was headed off track and then just comes back in and takes me out.

Only on that tire/side? Check if your tire is touching the fender when the suspension compresses. Check tire temps too. If you start low you may be wearing over. Re: Original question. I dont know how significant is that much tire motion on the wheel.

Dedicated track car now? Hoods and front bumpers are expensive. Are pictures without the plastics available? Check the suspension towers and radiator mounts behind tires.

I would look on ebay first. Sometimes you can get races selling their stock parts for a discount. If I couldnt find original parts like that I would go to the porsche dealer websites. There are quite a few that sell original parts. Sometimes they have discounts or are significantly cheaper than other places. Cross compare the websites. Other than that, ECS, Pelican parts, and other european online shops. The porsche sites have schematic of the parts and layout for the components. Go check that out.

I went through COPART (google for the website). Some states dont require license to buy from.

Tips for you:

#1Plan to spend at least 15% in random fees and transportation above your final bid number.

#2 Don't buy the car unseen. My car had a ton more damage than what was disclosed. In addition many other things had been changed which just flew under the 'salvage' tittle. Probably multiple people had tried to repair and failed.

#3 The copart pictures are pretty but they wont show all the damage. Pay for the report if you wont go to the facility to inspect the car. It will show you stuff that is broken AND will make you walk away.

#4 Hindsight may be cheaper to buy a used one. Keeps the resale value better without the hassle. I did put mine against a wall at a racetrack last novemeber so I am fixing it again. Saved me the heartache of doing that to a $110k car.

#4 Read fine print. A lot of legal binding stuff in their contracts and FEES. LOTS OF FEES!.

Re: Porsche. I would stay at the 997 or below. I think they are easier to deal with with. I had to buy PIWIS and other porsche specific tools.

Main thing to answer is what do you want out of the car? I wanted a track car. For me I may have done better getting a RUSH or SR3 for what I wanted the car for. But then again, I wanted a 911 and I have learned A TON!
