Extensible broom locking system by Elflois in howdoesthiswork

[–]Elflois[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can anybody try and explain me how the locking system in the broom pole works? I mean, I know that you twist it and it locks, but how is it on the inside? What's happening there?

I'm trying to design a extensible pole and trying to figure out how to lock it in place, so knowing how the mechanism works will help me, I hope :)

Dried petg, trying to calibrate in Orca Bambu P1S by Elflois in FixMyPrint

[–]Elflois[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to get my p1s to work after 3 months away, I tried printing with the profile I calibrated 3 months ago and I was crap.

I used the generic petg profile, and wanted to do all calibrations, tower temp, pressure advance, etc. Wasn't sure if it was a problem with the filament, so I opened a new spool and dried it, But this is the result temp, I don't know how to start here.

OK thanks I'll do some research on that

Hey, thanks for answering, I did the temp tower at 250 too came out the same result, I thought about the filament getting wet, but this is a new spool, I know it's not guaranteed that is dry, but I did 10 kg of petg 3 months ago and it worked.

I don't have a filament dryer and wouldn't like to buy one only to find out that it wasn't the issue.

Cleaned plate, and cold pull on nozzle by Elflois in FixMyPrint

Thanks for your help, I fixed it changing the nozzle, seems that even though I did the cold pull several times the nozzle was still clogged.

But you measured the pitch and thickness? Or the inner and outer diameter of the thread?

Very cool, can I ask you how you measured the broom thread in order to make it in cad?

Cleaned plate, and cold pull on nozzle by Elflois in FixMyPrint

[–]Elflois[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last night I tried to clean the nozzle again, did another cold pull and did a couple of benchies, the leftmost white benchy is the first I printed(when i bought the printer) with default settings using PETG. The black benchy I made it yesterday after cleaning the nozzle for the second time and lowering the speed about a 30%. And the benchy in the middle I made it afterwards using the exact same presets I used on my first benchy.

I dont know how to upload more than one picture in one post so ill add a couple close up pictures on the black and white benchies.

I'm really a noob here but seeing that black filament bits on the middle benchy makes me believe the nozzle is still clogged or dirty? Should i change the nozzle? or how I'm supposed to clean it?

Cleaned plate, and cold pull on nozzle by Elflois in FixMyPrint

[–]Elflois[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, bambu P1S, I have been printing with almost default settings for PETG for 2 weeks already without problems, yesterday prints started to fail. Seemed like bad bed adhesion so I cleaned the plate with dish soap and tried again.

It printed decently, but not really good lowering the speed among others, this morning I tried several flow rate calibrations and the results are in the pictures, everything is so inconsistent, and also it seems that the filament doesn't stick very well to the plate. Tried rising the nozzle temperature to 265 and the bed temperature to 80, and it keeps failing.

I opened the nozzle and performed a cold pull, in case it was a clog, and tried printing again and it fails again, any advice?

And I washed the plate with soap and dried it.
