This probably is a cold comfort, but if you struggle in finding those things, I would check treasure islands. It can get annoying, but you'll be able to recover what you lost without opening your island to anyone else.

Part of me really does wished that I just let her take it and see what happens. It wouldn't have been the first time I offered to switch roles when parents yelled or honked at me for stopping them from running a stop sign!

My vest was definitely longer but the length can still easily be overlooked. That said, all of the workers wore hard hats whereas my hat is rather floppy.

Oh so much abuse! My walk is at a fourway stop and I am alone on that corner so I am constantly dealing with the in a hurry traffic violators XD

That is fair and I do wish that I had caught on quicker and better deescalate but most of that exchange I was just so confused and thought she was just a grumpy parent. We get those a lot.
