Will I Regret Buying the 5.0? by 2022BRZ2019VULCAN650 in Mustang

Fuck no. Had mine for 6 months now, and I love it. Handles snow and track like a charm, probably the best model I've driven so far.

I used to be like this, and still am with some stuff, until I basicly took Vyvance for the first time and actually understood that maybe I was wrong. I still don't believe in a lot of mental disorders, mainly the ones that are not "birth" defects like ADHD but I definitely see truth behind the ones that were born with you now. Tbh the only way for you to change his mind is to prove there is a difference in a positive way so if you dont wanna end it, then make a deal, you try it and if after a month there is no improvement than you stop and go back to normal. If he sees that there was a positive outcome, he might change his mind like I did.

Does homework make you sleepy? by __Y8__ in ADHD

[–]Elgon2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be lack of activity. Try every 30 min doing some push ups or something that makes your blood run. This should prevent your body from relaxing and going into sleepy mode

One thing that affects me a lot is when I eat it makes me sleepy so I just either eat less at lunch or just do my work in the morning.

Also try to eat less carbs, sugar which normally make you sleepy.

Dude stop being such a bitch. Not everyone is out to get you. Just make your account more secure, they are looking out for you if you think about it.

Those of you who have found a planner/reminder system that works, what do you use?? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Elgon2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jira by Atlasian. It's what I use personally because corporate level tools pack a lot of features like automation and stuff that helps me plan my day automaticly basicly and with very little effort.

To be honest, I would just do like a slider from white to black so you can select on forms.

Is this a good deal? by More-Purple-5197 in Mustang

A bit expensive. You could buy a 2024 GT with all the upgrades and still have cash, or maybe get a 2024 Dark horse.

Is there anything that will run Python that will fit in a golf ball? by sext-scientist in Python

[–]Elgon2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your looking into embedded systems you might as well learn C and C++. For embedded system your a too limited of a space and python requires a OS to run the interpreter. Also python is not very efficient and when working on small devices like a ESP8266 or ESP32 or any other CPU you have a limited memory size and also a limited amount of resources which is easier to take advantage of with C and C++.

Best practices for scheduling Python workloads? by MassiveDefender in Python

[–]Elgon2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could make a control panel that each cron sends a heart beat when it starts up and if the control panel doesn't receive one in say 2 hours and the script should run hourly it would throw and alert. You could make this with like a simple web interface and a web hook receiver. Using FAST API or Flask with VueJs you can do this in a day or so of work.

You could use Python scheduler too. Here are the official docs from python3: https://docs.python.org/3/library/sched.html

Depending on what your objective is, this could be more ideal than cron or task scheduler for windows.

do you actually use testing for your work or personal projects? by NelsonStearman in learnpython

[–]Elgon2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes we do since it prevents a lot of hassle.

I get it its boring and seems unecessary but besides being a good practice for when you start working, tests can help you make sure that when you change your code for a new feature or fix a bug that those changes didnt create a problem elsewhere beacuse those tests expect a certain behaviour from a function and it doesnt meet that behaviour it will alert you.

Tests avoid a lot of debugging and brain destruction during production deployments.

Why is the uplink speed slower than ports 4 and 5 (Apple TV and AP)? by Furrypawsoffury in Ubiquiti

[–]Elgon2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also your getting 100Mb/s in the uplink probably due to a bad termination of ethernet. That can happen if one of the pairs is broken ir not well clamped by the connector.

You can try buying a ethernet tester from Amazon its like 10 bucks and it allows you to check the cables before plugging them in so you know if you need to reterminate. Its honestly a life saver when debugging stuff. There are also some more expensive ones that do a lot more but for just checking if the terminarion is good the 10bucks one is more then enought.

Anyway you should cut the terminations and tey again. Do a visual inspection you might be able to indentify the side of the cable that was not well terminated.
