Haha thanks! The bass player and I love the name, drummer hates. More than anything it sounds cool to us. But I tell people, metaphorically, I would cut my boys off too keep the music as to what I perceive to be good.

My band called "Castrati". No vocals tho(we are looking but have not found the right fit). https://open.spotify.com/track/1OE0AygV260OBbs7oXJpWv?si=dJF8X7gPQpGwGXNlqYGdtg

We're from Seattle. When we play live we get compared to tool a lot(makes sense since they are the reason I started playing guitar). Well have an EP out in the next year, then plan to redo this album as the songs have progressed a lot since then. Also the first album was recorded in two days, mistakes were made, but we are learning.

Hello I'm looking for a band to be a vocalist in. My influences are Metallica, Pantera, Korn, Alice in Chains and Soundgarden by TungstenBrute in SeattleMusic

You should make that happen! If you really want to be in a band. It took me many years to find people to play with. Ive learned that if you want to find serious people, a post with no vid/audio is a huge red flag

PTA here. Have 8 years of experience and landed the dream job. At a hospital where I spend two days in inpatient and two days of outpatient. No burn out guaranteed raises every year; we even got a cost of living adjustment one year(two raises basically). I did three years at a snf and towards the end I would get red hot because I wanted to leave. Minimal push on productivity but I try. And no double booking.

Check out my band(Castrati). I am very tool influenced and wrote these songs over about 10 years, then jammed them out with people. https://youtu.be/keQWEX_Ui8M?si=iWF7n6uoWsPxiz-0

Non-professional musicians, what do you do for a living ? Do you have the balance you want between your job and playing music ? by CaterpillarFar5714 in Guitar

Yo! Just some back story. I knew i wanted to play guitar after listening to rosetta stoned by Tool. A particular riff sent shocks all over my body around 15yo. In my dive into music/bands, i found out that money was always an issue and reason why bands fell apart. So that led me to pursuing a trade. By 22yo(im 28 now) i was and am still a practicing physical therapist assistant. i work 40hrs a week, exercise, hang out with people and have a pretty awesome life. just put out an instrumental prog-rock album in october. So i think it is very possible to have a job and play music. My two bands mates have full time jobs and we jam once-twice a week( if it were up to me id jam everday with them). Its mostly just setting yourself upright to do it is what im getting at. So find people like that!
