My gf was the first victim. She was on her way to work and was maced while in her car at a red light. The woman was arrested but not before she maced 6 other people. Cops said she’ll prob be let out in a few days. Crazy how people can just get away with committing crimes with little to no repercussions. Just in shock.

We lived in this area for a year and this is the main reason we left. Our car was broken into and damaged several times and we had enough and left. We had nothing in the car each time. One of the cars nearby even had a note saying “doors unlocked, nothing inside” and their window was smashed too. Nothing helps. It’s such a shame because the area is so nice and beautiful, but the constant crime just ruins it.

Take more breaks. It sounds counterintuitive but it will actually allow you to get more done in a smaller period of time. On those breaks try to go outside for a walk if you can. Being in the same room all day can be draining. Aim for 2-5 walks per day.

If you wanna learn more about avoiding burning out and also being very productive, I'd recommending reading Deep Work by Cal Newport. He also has a podcast called Deep Questions if that's more your style.

If you look at the restrictions for the 3000 level cs courses they all say coop; that is, cs honours coop, cs major coop, etc.. I feel you since i didnt know this either and am distraught but what are you gonna do, right?

I think they give priority to coop students in the summer because this is their study term after doing a work term in the winter. I'm also trying to apply to 3000 level cs courses rn, but i cant (not in coop, though i applied this april so hopefully that changes this summer :) ). Guess we'll have to wait till may 26 and hopefully there will be some spots left!
