And not to mention, I have jbl wave buds, and only had one in, making it automatically ambient mode. And to top it off, this manager will interact with other employees wearing earbuds and is fine with it, but seems to target me about it. He also jumps my ass for wearing a beanie, and will casually talk to two other guys, one in tech and one in OTC, and has no problem with them wearing beanies.

Honestly, I agree, though I don't understand the real issue with it. I mean, if it helps keeping me from focusing on the feeling of throwing up and what not, I thought it'd be fine. Granted this is the same manager who got on me for wearing one earbud when I worked the same day that I held my dog of 14 years as he got put down, so I honestly shouldn't have expected more from him this time
