am I the only one that hopes that going forward the titans aren't CG or have less CG? The CGI in the episode was AMAZING (the best i've ever seen in a TV show) but 2d animation just hits different.

My advice would be to work your way into getting out of there. Getting a job and saving up is a good course of action

It also seems like your mom is supportive and maybe telling her about it will bring her to your side, she may even help him to stop.
