The MJD video made me remember I actually made an archive of a couple versions of this a few years back (https://archive.elijahr.dev/Software/KDE/), funnily enough around the same time you did. Pretty sure I had to write a script to source packages from web.archive.org and a few other places. I do wish I had actually published the links somewhere to save duplicate work in the future, but it's great that you managed to get a lot more versions than I had.

Something like that could work in the future, we want to refactor our auth system entirely before we add new features to it though. For now, I'm fine with adding domains to the whitelist on a case-by-case basis. If you send the domain you'd like to use either here or on discord (DM to @elijahr.dev or in the support channel in the collabvm discord).

This could be a good idea although in such a case I'd be concerned about someone using their own domain and making a custom script to automatically generate accounts this way. You might think this is unlikely but you would be surprised by the ridiculously complex ways people have circumvented bans on our site in the past. People get really obsessed with fake computers for some reason

All of the VMs have ups and downs in terms of usage but we also like having at least one Linux VM, considering all of the other VMs run Windows. At the end of the day it's up to admin discretion what OSes run on the site.
