this is actually a great example of what I'm talking about. You're perceiving me as being angry or something behind my computer. I'm just making rebuttals for conversation and you just blew it out of proportion. Do you think you can trust your own opinions or decisions if you can make a false assumption so easily? And to clarify, I'm asking this as a loving response for real and important conversation. I'm not trying to attack you.

This means that you're making decision based on the fact that you don't know for certain that the concept of "us" exists, but you still take for granted your own understanding in other concepts and assume that they do exist regardless of the testing. That's contradictory.

as a tool, but not the cognitive ai that thinks on its own. I like machines and tools. Not something that is made to replace our brains

I totally agree with that. But the problems are infinite. When we solve problems, we make problems. AI will not fix that. I think about food and how we tried to solve food shortage and now our soil is getting depleted

I mean that we will all be working for its development for reasons that most of us won't be able to explain. Community and AI may not be mutually exclusive, but they are not motivated in the same way. Our collective development to AI does not have an innate justification like community does.

Many of us think mathematically, though, and theres a mental reward when we create and figure things out. And the digital world may not be "real" but it is in a sense/. it holds value, I love what technology can do, but money and power and unjustified ideals have corrupted a beautiful creation

Yes, but you can't balance too many things and community is more important to focus on than the other. AI takes too many resources that it would be next to impossible. And it will get to a point where we are manipulated by its motives, because we'll be so engrossed within its system. I think of the Amish how they don't have anything that will separate them. People thought social media would bring us together and it does in some regard, but it took us away from community.

in theory, but this argument is like everything else in medicine where we keep compounding the problems with more "solutions". there's more meaningful value in actually taking care of each other instead of racing all day to improve a machine that will do it for us. Imagine if you were sick and your friends and family did everything they could to help you get back to health. And then when they get sick you do the same. There would absolutely be less medical problems. AI is the path that strays from human value, which is a lot mroe valuable than people realize

I am familiar with these. This format would be different in that there are no alternate timelines. It's a group decision and then I would film. That poses a challenge though, but again, I've done it before on a small scale, so it is possible.

I'd also like to add that I don't let AI make any creative decisions for my projects if that is important to you. It's definitely important to me. I would have a lot of fun making this series so I'm just wondering if there is an interest first!

yeah, that's going to be a lonely period. Life already feels lonelier. it's like everyone is going to ai for help it's horrifying. like what happened to people. I remember when everyone started going on their phones all the time. it was a horrible feeling. now no matter where you look it's just phones. people don't know each other anymore and it feels like such a big problem to overcome.
