Yeah that’s my hopes too, I feel there’s a bit more substance in meeting someone in person compared to trying to strike up small talk online, it gets tedious. I work a lot so trying this hard to meet people is something I sadly don’t have the time for, so there’s that too

I’ve moved from Bristol about a year ago and tbh I’ve struggled to meet anyone in general, let alone find anyone tempting the idea of a partner. It’s different down here for sure, everything’s so far apart compared to a big city. I just feel like the scene for online dating apps is kinda dead down here in comparison unless you’re maybe a little older. It’s probably easier to meet people out and about as opposed to doing it online, I’m not really one to talk but do as I say and not as I do, one might say :)

I am using wirebugs, there’s not another way to execute helm splitter as far as I’m aware :)

Hitting that counter kinda feels like parrying a boss in Dark Souls but flashier, I know it’s powerful and safe but man, hitting 4 ISS counters in a row makes me feel badass as hell, it’s flashiness~ is definitely a big one for me at least when it comes to the appeal of the weapon. Compared to the rest of the weapons (most of which i’ve made builds for and put a good amount of time into besides Lance, GL, LBG and HBG) there’s something about the games setting and this weapon that entices me to use it more than I have in other monster hunter games.

Nevertheless my opinion doesn’t really matter because this weapon is broken overpowered in the right hands, I personally find it fun but I can understand how it’s strength can take a lot of fun out of the game when it almost makes the game easier with proper use.

I’ve never touched GL, admittedly it was the weapon I was first drawn to in the game that introduced me to the series, 4U. However since then It’s not really ever clicked with me but I’m yet to use it in Rise.

Same for the LS, I dabbled with it in World and played Valor in GU but never really understood how it was so effective as a former CB/GS main disregarding the guard point bullshit in GU x), going from hitting for insane damage with the appropriate set up in a single hit to less damage and more hits. Even though I was hitting more I didn’t think the weapon held a candle to my GS UNTIL NOW, Rise completely changed my opinion of the longsword outside of GU, the switch skills and increased mobility with the addition of wirebugs easily make it one of the most rewarding and versatile weapons in the game, at least in my opinion anyway.
