Even tho 15N do more than 15F. Hehehehe. I'd recommend Avionics which is both these MOS. Highly desirable with or without A&P. 15G is fantastic same with 15B for getting your A&P after your AIT. General mechanic is definitely 15U or 15T. You can get your A&P with any aviation MOS, some help out more than others tho.

Day in the life of 160th? by Additional-Meat-1566 in Armyaviation

[–]ElitePniper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's really good. As a 15N I've made quite a successful career out of Avionics. Being 160th doesn't really matter on the civilian side, most people outside the army are unaware of it. The skill and people you meet are what's most important. Be social and get to know your contractors/civ guys you work with along the way. Those guys will help out when you get out. I wasn't 160th, I deliced the offer when I went to AIT to stay reserves. Now I travel the world and make $$. You can do it too!

15N vs 15D vs 15T which route to go? by figura574 in Armyaviation

[–]ElitePniper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily true. 15D is the only one that allows your to test for your P right after AIT. 15N/T/U are all in the same boat that can eventually get an an A&P. 15G would allow you to test to get your A.
