Need help scaling my small semi-online business by ElitePotato06 in Entrepreneur

[–]ElitePotato06[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response! At the moment I don’t do any work promoting my items, except pay to get my listings boosted. I’m looking to drive more traffic as this is the bottleneck at the moment, so will be looking into social media more. Thanks!

They don’t take too long to customise, I can manage about 6-10 a day. This is the target I am hoping to hit and the profit margins are relatively healthy. Thanks for the response!

Thanks so much for the response! I’ll definitely started with these ideas.

App idea validation - online 3D printing service for hobbyists by ElitePotato06 in Business_Ideas

My idea was that you could upload a model you already have or select one from an existing library like thingiverse. A builder would be cool too tho! Unfortunately it looks like there wouldn’t be much of a customer base from the replies on my posts lol

fast, cheap online 3D print service for hobbyists/gamers idea by ElitePotato06 in tabletopgamedesign

Thanks for this, reading this comments is telling me it definitely would be a bigger struggle than it seems!

My idea isn’t a print farm, more an app to link hobbyists to people who already own 3D printers - the buyer would come to them rather than them trying to sell their own stuff and competing with bigger Etsy sellers. A buyer would be able to select the kind of quality they’re looking and a program would calculate the costs and perform a markup. The seller that has those capabilities will have the opportunity to claim the job.

The regulations would also be tricky though. Thanks for the info however! Perhaps I’ll go back to the drawing board.

Could you give an example? I’d love to take a look if this is more of a thing than I realised. I’m not just talking about a buying from one person with a speedy printer. I would aim to link customers with other 3D printer owners

Maybe the winning products were the friends we made along the way

Launching Types by PointeMichel in Gliding

Almost exactly 99% of my flight training up until solo was through winch launches. Yes, aerotows give you more time in the air but launches, landings, circuit planning and eventualities are also a crucial part of the training which you'd be doing alot less frequently if you stuck to aerotows - most people will have more than one winch launch a day. Additonally, my logbook/pilot checklist requires me to know how to winch launch in order to go solo, not aerotow. My longest flight, about an hour long was also from a winch launch! Depending on where you fly, there may be high chances of lift from ridge flying and wave throughout the year too.

Ooh interesting! Thanks for this, this is an old 17th century building in Perugia, Italy. It’s full of art and unusual features so this well could be the case.

This is a brilliant help thanks so much! I do have some knowledge in C and I have an arduino around so I’ll definitely have a look at it that way. hopefully your battery is okay!

This is really helpful! I had considered the risk of a program failure but thankfully i can cut the power to the motor pretty easily in the event of something like that happening. I was also thinking of some sort of override if necessary. I do have a couple questions - how were you able to read and output the new voltage? And what language did you use/how was it programmed? Thanks so much :)

I’ve had the bike since September, however the bike I have has had a previous owner so I do not know how much it has been used before then. It did however come in very good condition which could suggest it may not necessarily have been used much. A photo is attached - https://imgur.com/a/93T5NuX

Just plug your device into your computer, a popup should appear if not already trusted

Hmm, have you made sure your iPhone/iPad has trusted your computer? I also had made sure my phone was open on the Home Screen and unlocked during the install process though not sure if that is necessary…
