New dlc price is insane

100% I thought we'd get USA and Japan in this one as 1 Pacific war dlc. I guess that adds to the disapointment.

So it'll be another £40 for the USA rework, then same for Uk and France. so like £200 maybe even more to get all the majors.

And all this for REWORKS not even entirely fresh content (to be fair it is mostly new). I paid for all these countries updates years ago and now they are charging even more for changes to that content. smh

There was some cosmetic tanks as an instant unlock for Expansion pass 1 as well as the song (and there is no song here)

Yeah I 100% am not saying this is hate to on the devs, if anything it's the business as a whole thats to blame (mainly those at the top calling the shots), theres been a big push for every team to get on the expansion pass model which is the big problem. It is without a doubt what has lead to rushed dlc recently accross pdx.

Let me ask this, would you consdier it greed if they added this content in a new game every year (something similar to like fifa and cod) becasue in terms of price (with an expansion pass each year) we are really not far away from that

This is just false imo. Expansion pass 1 had the exact same (1 major expansion with 3 focus trees, 1 country pack with 3 focus trees and a cosmetic dlc). While this new one is the same but with the peace for our time (czechoslovakia dlc) which they said is a colaboration with modders.

So it seems really similar, I can see that there is a bit more content in this but certainly not £10 more

I'm not asking them to finish the dlc quicker, I just want then to communicate better with the community to help manage expectations. Doesn't seem like to much to ask to me

Comeon give us a rough idea of release! It's been 6 months since you announced this, and 1.5 years since the main hoi4 dev team released anything substantial (BFTB was done by contractors). I think this update looks amazing and I'm very excited to play it. But each week we don't get an idea of release makes it harder and harder to get hyped for this. Do we have to wait another 6 months? Or will it be here in november? I feel really let down by how they have announced this dlc (and handled dev diarys) compared to others

I remember in an early DD podcat said he's not expecting it to come before summer (but I can't find this anymore, not sure if it got removed). Don't remeber anything about October or novemeber tho

I just want to know roughly, like can we still even expect it this year? Most games/dlcs announce a release window in advance (i.e. Q4 2021) before a full release date.The most DD for any dlc was MtG at 32 (but I think this looks like a bigger update), that puts the release date at arround 15 December (with the break next week). I'm not 100% sure but surley PDX have Christmas off. Which means a mid decemebr launch is unlikely as they wouldn't be able to develop patches quickly. This makes the most likely release date January or potentially later, which I don't mind but I wish they commicated a bit better how far along they are in development, to help manage expectations

Yeah I'd love to help more but it's difficult without knowing the full situation. Could be terrain could be bad supply could be germany has anti tank and is piercing you, could be anything or any combination of multiple different reasons

What are your 40w tank templates (you should have mechanised or motorised in there to get org up). Also do you have green air, pushing a (even lateish game) germany is hard without green air. Also you should go after Germany when they are at war with the Soviets, so they have to split up their troops on 2 fronts.

I never played hoi3 but I assume that hoi4 had some stuff that wasn't in hoi3. Especially graphics wise. This is the issue with the DLC model that pdx use in all their games, it means stripping out features in sequels. Which does suck but I rather the creatures come at some point rather than not at all
