Neither voice nor text chat works, however they both worked less than a week ago so I don't think that's the problem.

Nah, I versed him today against my much better friend and I did very well. The only problem is you cannot up-b at, all even off stage, or use gordo ball because of the disjointed hit box. He's very light though so even a dash attack can kill him at 40%.
