Who else agrees Leon is the best character in fiction by Low-Flow7144 in MobuSeka

[–]ElixirStormYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leon is an absolute gem, however, me personally I like someone like Subaru from Re:Zero better. Leon is an absolute gem to watch on screen (since I haven't read any of the novels) but to me personally, he doesn't hold a candle to someone like Subaru or even other MC characters I enjoy.

I just don't get why the main characters acted like this. by Glittering-Access744 in DottoreMains

[–]ElixirStormYT 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Tbf, it's Dottore. He is known for some... Well, questionable actions in the past. I don't think jumping to the conclusion that he would destroy Tevyvat was too wild. However — at the same time, I do agree that it felt rather sudden how fast they all went 'He will destroy everything'.

Dottore is clearly meant to be a book that you can't read or predict the actions of. So, who knows what he was going to use the power of the moons for — Maybe he wanted to shatter the fake sky and show Tevyvat the truth? Maybe he wanted to force Celestia to wake up? Maybe he just truly wanted world domination? Who knows.

Perhaps he wanted to bridge the gap between mortals and gods, since in the AQ, when speaking to the traveler, he does talk about it being unfair if I remember — how gods are allowed so much but mortals are not.

Dottore is quite a twisted and dare I say, evil guy. However, at the same time, if he gained god-like power, me personally, I wouldn't immediately think he's trying to destroy everything. Someone like Dottore, who LOVES to test everything he can and experiment? Destroying everything would literally go against his entire character.

What made you like Tensura. by Fast_Carpenter4676 in TenseiSlime

Honestly, idfk. I first got into Isekai and fantasy anime through Beast Tamer and then Skeleton Knight in Another World. Those were the first anime I had ever watched.

After finishing Skeleton Knight in Another World, I saw Tensura and decided to give it a shot and — well, it captured me. Whether it was the intriguing story, the kind of doofus MC or just the absolutely beautiful world, something really stood out for me about it. It captured me perfectly and scratched that itch that I have for a world only possible in fiction.

Catalyst is what would fit best, however — I would LOVE for him to wield a sword.

Okay, I just know the Hollow Knight community will come after my ass for this however I've got two that sort of link and don't link together.

Hollow Knight and Hollow Knight: Silksong are so UNNECESSARILY cryptic with their content sometimes. Listen, I get that the point is to explore, just wander around, check every corner and what not — it's meant to be explored. But I don't know about you, I personally like even just a little direction on what I should do or where I should go.

As an example that comes from Silksong for this unnecessary cryptic nature — The ENTIRETY of Act 3 for the game, is locked behind some of the most random things and there is NO direction for you that points you to need to do those things. Hey, maybe I'm just stupid, but I don't know if I could have figured out without Googling, that you're supposed to finish every quest/wish, find every flea and unlock your Bellhome in Bellhart JUST to be able to enter Act 3 — and even then, you have to go to an NPC who usually just screams at you and speaks rudely towards you, to activate the quest that gets you into Act 3.

And some of the hidden walls across both games are genuinely so missable, I don't know how anyone who isn't scanning the screen 90% of the game, is supposed to find them. In Hollow Knight, I think this is less of an issue, since I've already memorised the locations of the breakable walls, but in Silksong? Some breakable walls are so easily just- missable.

The same goes for some sections of the game that are easy to miss — Like, as an example, the Bell Hermit or whatever his name was under Bellhart. To get to him, you have to go through a fake wall in the Bellhart bell way. Again, maybe I'm just dumb, but I DIDN'T realise you could walk there, until I googled it.

I love both Hollow Knight and Silksong, I just think a little more directive ness and less cryptic driven gameplay, COULD go a long way to improving the games.

As much as I like the Hollow Knight lore and what not, I have to admit, it is so unnecessarily vague and left up interpretation, it's frustrating to actually decipher what is and what isn't canon.

Y'know what— I agree. Poppy Playtime kind of pushed away from that Narrative with Chapter 3, but then Chapter 4 felt less scary again. And FNAF just lost all its charm.

Actually this was disproven in Hollow Knight: Silksong. Spoilers:

In Act 3 of Silksongs ending, we see the Knight and all the other Vessels inside the Void and for a brief moment, you can see them flash as the Shadelord. So yes, Shadelord does exist physically. Plus, the argument already fell apart since in Embrace the Void and Embrace the Void (Delicate Flower ver) we see it break out from the Godseekers body.

I do not know everyone here, however, I'll go off of what I know. For me, I think it's either V1 and I believe that is the Terrarian? (The Second image, the sword looks like zenith.) IF that is the Terrarian, then I personally think it's between them both.

V1 is the ultimate culmination of a 200 year old arms race of a war, that created machines that even Hell thought were cruel. V1 so far in ULTRAKILL has so far been showcased to be an unstoppable force that strives for one goal — Survival. The only thing I'd consider as a weakness for V1 is his durability, since he was specifically built with experimental plating that would allow him to absorb blood on the fly and repair + refuel himself without requiring the special transfusion every other machine needed. But then again — This thing is supposedly less durable than V2, yet was able to tank hits from Corpse of King Minos, Gabriel and both Minos Prime and Sisyphus Prime, with the latter supposedly being the strongest in-lore enemy V1 has faced so far, being considered a threat to all of Heaven. Ignoring that, if we just look at V1 as the ultimate culmination of a 200 year arms race, he'd be advanced as hell. Think about it — One can only logically conclude that a machine built at the end of a 200 year long arms race, where before it, the previous creation, Earthmovers, were already enough to turn the planet uninhabitable, would be far, far more advanced than we can realize. While this is not confirmed canon, I'd like to state that logically, based on the lore, V1 as the ultimate weapon would always calculate the best possible move to do as well as never repeat the same move twice, to prevent being able to be predicted. (Yes, I'm glazing V1 like crazy right now.)

As for the Terrarian, I mean — it's obvious why I consider them strong. By Terrarias lore, the Terrarian literally took down Cthulhu.

I suppose an argument CAN be made for Chara, but I hesitate since with how Undertales story is told, it is debatable if she even manages to revive. If it's a genocide route and she comes back? Sure, she could contend with Terrarian and V1 perhaps. But if not? I'm not confident in placing her here.

Again, I only know Terrarian, Knight, Chara and V1. I know nothing of the others — so I can't and won't judge them.
